Upgraded to ios5 always hang ...why hah??anyone know?i just got new replacement set by apple

With the iPod’s specs being almost half of that in iPhone, I think it’s just too much for the former to handle, hence, leading to the device being laggy at times, or worst, apps crashing. Prior to the iOS 5, the iPod’s memory is only capable of holding up to 3 Safari pages, provided that all background apps are closed. Once the 4th page is loaded, the iPod needs to retrieve and reload whichever of the 3 Safari pages when the user wants to get back to. With iOS 5, you have Notification Centre running in the background, by default, and it’s constantly retrieving data for stock and weather, 2 information of petty importance to most users. Memories are already being spent on Notification Centre and the more apps added to it, the more resources is required to complete the task. Note that this is a situation without any background apps.

If you ask me personally, I don’t see a reason why one should own an iPod but hey, that’s just me.

guys...i am now on ios 4.3.2 jailbroken, thinking of upgrading to 5.0.1 and jailbreak....but since apple is not signing 5.0.1 anymore, how do i do it? any thoughts? or i am too late for that?

i already have the ipsw....just can't restore it into my itouch....

I assume your using an ipod touch 4G right? follow these steps: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=18999

notice the "hold shift + press the update/restore button", if that doesnt work, you can put the ipod into DFU mode and try

nope , its impossible unless u had upgraded to 5.0.1 before and saved the shsh.
just in case, just save the shsh for ur current firmware.

well, finally manage to do it with TinyUmbrella and snowbreeze....

my ipod got crashed..damn it.. i jailbreak with 5.1 tethered.. when i install winterboard its need to reboot.. because of untethered, when reboot became very bad.. when it was started all my "pirate" programmes gone..pufff just like that... now i need to wait for 5.1 untethered to come out...oh shit...very disappointed to jailbreak with iOS 5.1

Anyone knows when the untethered version of iOS 5.1 will come out?

you chose the "just boot" option in redsn0w right? if its still messed up just restore and try jailbreak again. Goodluck

Whats a good flashlight app? The apps that I installed only makes the screen white when I enabled the flashlight. No light came out from the camera as advertised.

if you really need one. Why not just get a purely white picture in your photo albums. you can pair this with SBSettings if your jailbroken to adjust the brightness

Hi everybody, I need some advice. I dropped my Itouch 2g this morning and it had a crack on the screen, and the backlight doesn't work. I could still se the touch screen ok, is there a place where I can go get my Itouch fixed? and maybe the cost of fixing it. Thanks before
