hey guys, car engine jerking during low revs (not that low la)...what does it mean ar?

guys, how often do you change your fuel filter?
A workshop recommended me to change it after seeing the dirt on my old spark plugs. He then say its better to change the fuel filter. I was quoted RM42 for it...is this price right?
