Hi fellow wira users! i am just curious about how powerful is my wira's engine. Few weeks ago my dad sent his wira for top overhaul, that foreman said that it is a first generation engine(imported from japan i guess), better than newer once which is assembled locally. Any comment on this? THe wira is around 15 or 16 years old. manual 1.5 Litre.

normally remove rim 1st thing tat i can see is driveshaft cover then wen i squat down then i'll see tat steering rack dust cover~

Added on January 15, 2011, 9:34 pmalso, my batteries indicator sometimes flashing.. already swapped it, but keep flashing when the car is bumping.. suspect got wiring problem or the connection got bad contacts.

check the alternator, find out the alternator in good shape..

any idea on where i should start to troubleshoot it?

Wanted to ask, if last time my car 3k rpm can reach 100km/h, but now 3k rpm cannot reach 100km/h..its consider better or worst? What effect it? The lower rpm can reach higher km/h should be good right?

ahhh, i cant find the solutions to clear away the ants in my car and engine bay...what should i do..... yesterday did engine bay cleaning but still the same...haih...there goes my RM30 for cleaning....      anyone can tell me what should i do??

This is the last problem in my Wira(I hope)..

Every morning, the car is like haven't wake up, I engage D, it won't move until I press pedal, it move but not smooth..

Then when it speed up until around 40km/h, it will SUDDENLY like engage N itself(mean like tak masuk gear), the engine sound is loud just same as we put N and press pedal..

After 3 sec like that, it move like normal..The first time at the morning reach 40km/h is the loudest among the day..

So what cause the problem? I suspect is the gear box, but wanted to know any other part causing the problem..I don't wish after change the gearbox, but is not the gearbox problem..

Ya man, seriously rm1.5k consider quite cheap already. My Myvi 1 side door cost me rm400++... Kena chop already i think

by the way, how can we check the distributor is in good condition? mine look oily..lol..

I already change distributor o-ring before..
Now just not sure whether want to change the distributor or not..cuz after change Denso Iridium Power and Quadcore 10mm High Performance Plug Cable seems no improvement.. 

how much to change new distributor ? mine got oil leak all over gb

Guys,yesterday I just wash my radiator and pour in 350ml coolant..and the tauke of the radiator service workshop saying that my radiator not suppose to got bubble..it indicate that my engine gasket maybe burnt..besides that,it is abnormal that radiator "pecut" water out from the pipe beside the cap..which gasket he is refering to? engine head gasket?

Can any sifu in lyn wira teach me about my situation. Yesterday night when driving half way suddenly my car clock and front light faded and showed icon of battery. The battery is new, GP magma wet battery, used few monthes. Usually i plug in my garmin GPS and charging my nokia phone or ipad using my hot charger. Will it reduce my battery power co i thought car will recharge the car battery back  itself? After i installed my previous car battery, it can be started however my car sometimes dead once with the oil signal shown out. Any help or suggestion?

I've fixed mine btw , but more info would be great for other brothers at LYN wira club, any kangtao for tinting or not in penang? Cheap budget like rm 100, had 200 for budget but now fix this stupid rubber seal thing no budget dy T.T

Normally how much it cost to do top overhaul? 

Jz changed my alternator, cost me RM200 inclusive of installation. Need so expensive meh? Anyone changed before? Got any people know cheap and good foremen in Cheras ah?
