Okay, I have some news for people getting their units from Singapore.

1. GST Refund is possible. You have to inform apple before you reach Singapore, it takes at least one working days to process the form.

2. Collection of Refund form is @ AMK Apple Singapore Office. They only open on working days and office hours.

3. The GST Officer will check the invoiced name and Passport name. It has to be matched. Else, everyone would be taking this advantage.

4. The GST Refund will have an administrative fees of SGD25 for my case. I think it's certain % of total GST refundable.

If apple free case no longer available after 30 sept, then I'm not able to claim for free case sad.gif
I think they should allow those who ordered their phone before 30 sept to get free case, instead of depending on receive status.

Hmm, iphone 4 16G GST is $58.09, after deduct admin fee we only can get back around $33.
Anyway, did you call 1800-MY-APPLE for GST rebate?

I call their office number, try google Apple Asia Pte Ltd for their phone number. I forgot where I got mine already.

may i know how do i get the GST Refund? example i have buy i4 adi from aplle store sg, but i came back to malaysia is it i can go back to sg n claim the GST? or need bring the i4 that i purchase? tq

Can. Provided it's within two month of purchase, bring the box together with GST endorsement form by Apple.

Btw, claiming gst is only possible by flight. Road and rail is not applicable.

should be no more according to date, but you still can try you luck after you get your iPhone

i dont think able to claim GST because it is purchased online, nobody here successfully claim the GST i believe.

between, the time frame is 2 weeks now if buying from SG App Store, one week shorter when i buy on mid of Sept smile.gif
maybe due to Maxis and Digi already start selling iPhone 4, less Malaysian getting from SG App Store

I did. Refers my previous post in the same thread.

But quite troublesome afterall.

I tried to claim, but unable reach any operator by calling 6481 5511... I keep getting message saying their operators are busy then hung up on me...
bad service...

Their call centre is understaffed, therefore, extremely difficult to cope with the volume.

My calls to them usually 30-60 minutes, 80% is waiting time...

Luckily i'm using skype whistling.gif

It's different in Singapore, as I recall the visa is in a form of card and not attached to the passport.

Let's hear from others as well smile.gif thanks bbsupplements

If my bro is able to reclaim the 7% GST, thats quite a sum to be honest. S$62 per unit, he bought 4.

Too bad, student visa not entitled for it sad.gif
