Hi,

Anybody can recommend me to a shop that can repair my headphone jack for an affordable price? The jack suddenly putus from the wire, somebody in my office stepped on it. T.T

how much the headphone price anyway?
not economical if asking for pro to repair for it..
if cheap, buy a new one, else repair it yourself by following the guide in the internet

I'm also looking for a place to repair a pair of UE Super.fi5 Pro. I bought them from Jaben Network in Singapore and sent them in for repair, but they stopped replying my emails about 2 months ago. Last email said that they couldn't repair them.

My earphones are also still with them. :|

its a one of old plantronics, but i still love this headphone. would be great if someone can create a tutorial on how to do it.

1. Firstly, what do i need?
2. can use the old plug or not?

pics will come around lunchtime. biggrin.gif

should be easy.
if send to jaben the cost may varies depending on how much you willing to spend

fix it yourself... easy thing
you can use the old plug, but it just adds extra work by ripping all the plastic coverings away to repair it

buy a new plug
good one will cost a lot
low quality ones just cost 50 cent

if you just want it to make sound then choose the crap ones
but if you want quality so... quality plugs lo...

since it's broken, can rip it a bit more and show us?
cuz the first step is to expose the wire icon_rolleyes.gif

there'll be 2 colored wire(normally red and blue) and one ordinary brown wire comb around it

1 of course biggrin.gif
2 good one varies from rm50 to rm800(that's for hardcore modders)
you can get good ones from Jaben Malaysia at Subang Jaya SS15

3 you'll need soldering gun and soldering tin
a pair of handy clips helps too(or a friend to help you hold them)
heatshrink helps cover your messy work and protects them from shorting out

sure working lol
headphone drivers won't burn that easily(even if it's super crappy cap ayam RM1 brand)
normally it'll rattle first then die
unless you plug them to the wall socket(straight boom both side gone)
