2.0 metalic reporting in..

wanted to ask anyone fix auto-lock for your m3 yet?
wanna check on pricing from GS.. if any of you have fixed it..
they should incorporated auto-lock for msia market.. cuz the security not as good as other countries!

prefer after ignition, autolock trigger when brake pressed..
and auto-unlock when gear change back to 'P'..
do they have this type of configuration?

i also feel tyre noise a bit loud. and bumpy when travel from melaka back to KL.. guess the soft profile tyre's cons.. but very responsive handling.. like it.

FC full tank ron95 gives around 450-500km. sometimes can get slightly over 500km.

i wanna complain of the small 45litre fuel tank tho 4... for ppl travelling its quite a hassle having the need to pump petrol quite often.. lol

cheers
*
hi all, i'm really2 interested in M3 but seriously didn't know that autolock is not standard feature, sigh... luckily can be installed as according to Delvin but with extra cost...

can somebody give their opinion, overall quietness in M3 is better or worse than civic??

in my mind, M3 win hands down though for other value compared to civic smile.gif

hi all,

anybody here with cars equipped with Stability Control???

i'm really fond of this Mazda 3, in fact for my budget (<RM130k), it's the only choice that i felt suitable (civic too common, altis too unclish, 308 small boot space), but my biggest grief is M3 doesn't equipped with stability control (only ABS+EBD+BA)...

anybody of you has experience being saved by stability control? does M3 handling very2 good and make it stability control not truly needed?

my heart really go to M3 but head says not yet icon_question.gif

QUOTE(gladfly @ Mar 26 2011, 01:06 PM)
OK. TC is essential. No 5 stars NCAP if car dont have TC. But..at the end of the day safety comes from the driver himself. Of course TC will help in the event the car skids, but if you put your car in a skiddable situation in the first place its the drivers fault. So, if you are a good driver you dont really mind if the car doesnt have TC. No car handling is good enough to skip TC. Its essential safety equipment. But if you drive sensibly then TC is a backup.

M3 handling is sweet, just a little stiff, ride wise. Steering has nice feedback and you actually have a sense of control going in corners.

But best of all go test drive it and compare the cars in your list. And always buy with your heart, never brain.
*
thanks, you're right, always buy a car with heart not head... biggrin.gif

we'll never know when we will use the stability control, think u're driving at 110km/h at highway (legal speed) but suddenly out of nowhere some monyet decide to cross in front of you... fingers crossed hopefully i will never face that situation sweat.gif

Delvin, any plan for Bermaz to introduce stability control into M3 as an option in the future??

still, M3 is my first choice laugh.gif

just collected my M3 CKD 2.0 Sedan yesterday at Taman Midah woohoo, was soo excited after i waited 3 months rclxm9.gif

after few stops i went back to Kuantan straight away, what i can say is the car drive beautifully at Karak even in a heavy rain, really enjoy driving the zoom zoom icon_rolleyes.gif at night, there's blue LED lit up the cabin a little, very nice ambient i would say, but the MID screen sometimes i found irritating coz not so dark ambient friendly.... solution? i turn it off laugh.gif

thanks to my SA Jim Tan at Taman Midah as he's very helpful and brief me a lot and always entertaining my request or enquiry without hesitant thumbup.gif he's here in this forum, if anything u guys can give him PM smile.gif

for other forummers here waiting for their M3, just wait patiently, it will be worth ur wait coz this car rocks brows.gif

just want to ask....

does any M3 owner here have some metal knocking sound coming from rear left tyre side? it's like some welded spot are not completely done so got metal knock each other...

but only sound during low speed going through potholes, if going through bumper doesn't make any sounds... so logically it's not suspension issue right?

any help is welcomed wink.gif

Yes.. you are right:) CBU have "Sport" Sticker at the rear smile.gif CKD have GL/GLS at the back
*
I think the GL label somehow is not cool like sports label, so i took it out, turns out its quite easy to cabut from the car body...

Now my M3 looks cooler from the back side hehe...

QUOTE(ketweng @ Oct 9 2011, 11:33 AM)
Hi, Yes mine is Sedan, driving experience is awesome, but I'm no so satisfy with the paint quality - which doesn't have the flat mirror shine effect that I was expecting to a new car, the reflection is toward a bit blur. Anyway today my car is in GGuard doing a 4 step polish + platinum glass 3 layer coating. The detailer told me that they can help to "reduce" the blur and make it shine, but with the 3 layer glass coating, it will sure shine already, it just less mirror effect. Will share with you guys on the result.

Get the CBU then since its 2011 car, the paint quality could be better.
Anyway, after all, I still feel that the black color looks more out-stand  cool2.gif

CKD tyre comes with even lower profile (215/45/R17) - which I think is a bit bumpy, cannot expect to have similar level of comfort in Altis. But in handling wise, it blows you away.  thumbup.gif
for CBU, it will be 205/50/R17 - i would assume more comfort when you run over hole(uneven road)
*
congrats on your purchase, enjoy ur new ride endlessly rclxms.gif

myself too thinking to change tyre to 50 profile once current wheel out, i think should improve comfort... don't get me wrong, mazda 3's suspension already better than my waja in absorbing bumps, just that our country road have too much potholes especially here at East Coast sad.gif

but handling wise, always kept me smiling especially at Karak brows.gif
