Visited the showroom today and the SA mentioned that for Mazda 3:
1. Next year Mazda 3 will be CKD. No more CBU Japan. Price to be 5k cheaper 2. No discounts given 3. Ready stock especially for Pearl White because they ordered extra as it is in the most demand
Considering to get a Mazda 3 2.0. Really good deal if you compare with the T & H similar priced cars.

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Oct 7 2010, 04:29 AM) Thats why I am not sure of this claim from the SA. Maybe telling me story? Anyone more familiar with Bermaz can comment? Delvin? He didn't mention any thing added to CKD model. To me I think it will be status quo or components substituted with poorer quality parts. This post has been edited by MangO: Oct 7 2010, 03:47 PM

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Oct 12 2010, 10:02 AM) There will be a CKD version released next year. Not sure how much is the price difference but was told it would be cheaper than the current models. The specs and launch date is not confirmed yet. SA mentioned its going to be 5k cheaper. To me the price difference seems very little for a CBU and CKD. Secondly as its towards year end the car will quickly become a year older. There is no promotion too so overall it makes it tough to go for the car.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Oct 12 2010, 03:54 PM) Sorry I mean as its towards the end, if I get the M3 it will depreciate/become a year older in a few months time and there is no discount/promotion to offset this.

With CKD there should be a slight price drop. Bermaz is quite adamant on discounts which is good for the brand. Rather they give freebies e.g. free service than drop price to maintain resale value.

Supposedly 5k as mentioned by SA but there is no B&W.

You reckon its a good time to get the car or wait for next year because even if I get the car next year its still 2010 stock.
Also my concerns are on the insurance side because by next year they will treat car at 1 year depreciated value.

Facelift? Next year? Anyone can confirm?
Referring to insurance. If we take up the insurance policy now the car is insured at full value but next year if there is any accident you can't claim full value because they would already depreciate the car by one year. So in that sense you are always paying more premium than the "market value".
Hope that makes sense and I got it right. ^^

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Nov 29 2010, 02:28 PM) Will CKD price be cheaper?? SA mentioned that it will be approximately 5k cheaper but I can't confirm it. I don't its really going to bring in sales because those who buy a Mazda main concerns are not resale value or price (up to a certain extent). They are looking for driving dynamics, CBU quality, exclusivity. Its a delicate balance because you can't significantly undercut CBU price or resale value will be affected. One other way is to add more accessories to maintain prices.
