Got mine since Christmas.
Mileage 3k+ only.
So normal? Or Shld get sc to check?

Depends lo..

Style of driving...stuck in jam...use what fuel all plays a part.

If light footed..travel extra urban and use Ron97 sure can 8.5l/100km. Yours 3k maybe engine still needs to break in.
I remember new time FC quiet bad..around 11l/100km.

Hmm why hatch? other than its rare..1.6 hatch not worth the money mate (no offence to any 1.6 hatch owners out there).

better top up abit get the 2.0 sedan. The diff betwen 1.6 and 2.0 is alot. Some main diff eg

Bi-xenon lights
6 air bags
5 speed auto with paddles
17 inch rims
diff rear suspension (this I am abit skeptical but thats what Mazda's website says)
and a lot more extras..

To me its worth the extra 15k or so. But its up to you.. rolleyes.gif

p.s FC is ok..2.0 can about 8.5l/100km. maintainence is free..for 3 years
*
I totally agreed with you. extra rm15k is really worth of every single cent for Mazda 3 2.0 . Extra 400cc is surely can push ur adrenalin to the max .

extra rm15k only cost less than rm100 per month to ur monthly installment. Just cut off ur some spend on others and put it on Mazda 3 2.0.

I bought 1.6 coz it deliver smooth comfort ride , its looks (almost same design with 2.0 ) and most import it consume less fuel compare to my another ride. thumbup.gif

I did really enjoyed my ride very well. (even with some minor problem that haven't been fix by SC , just unlucky maybe it lemon )

handling is superb ( I love Karak highway very much rclxm9.gif ) and it''s power already good enough to conquer the Karak curve.

Some said 1.6 is underpower but for my ride doing pretty well for speed up to 120. . More than that ..out of brreath..

Already upgrade to Iridium spark plug and looking best time to fit in K&N air filter .

Stock tires are really noisy and so-so only on wet condition. My rims already lot of scratched eyeing on ps3 buupgrade t it not produce the stock size for 15" so have to 16" later

For 2.0 i always accidentally hit 140 without even realizing it. It is extremely smooth and handling is steady.
Often tried to ramp up to 160-170 without any issue other than getting some cold sweat.... smile.gif
The steering is still steady at 160-170 without any wobbling or rattling.
Perhaps it's normally for 2.0 cars of these grade, but I upgraded from a 1.5 wira.
at 140 wira already feel like the steering might come off any time. LOL

17" tires really grip the road well but is damn noisy. But then again, the sound system is good enough that if you ramp up the volume a bit then it drown out most of the noise. Its personal preference la i suppose. For me, hearing the wheels while going 160-170 is good to let u know how fast u are actually going.

While going on wet road, i still go very slow not due to lack of confidence the m3's 17" tires. But lack of confidence in the vehicle behind me.
My bumper just got replaced from being banged at the back because my tires grip but the car behind me doesn't...so keep note.

Anyone know if change spark plug and K&N air filter will it void warranty?

i ask the SC to change spark plug for me..they only charged rm30 for it.and SC don't say any about it.

btw....it is normal for 2.0 car to ramp up to 160-170 without issue . I always hit the paddle without eyeing on spedo meter. Suddenly just realize that the speed already too high. rclxub.gif

for M3 2.0 ...u can put ur confidence on stock tires..Toyo is performance tires...off course u will loose the quite ride.

It due to the advancement in combustion. If you think 10k is bad...Merc does it 12k, VW does it 15k, Volvo 20k. But full syn la.

These days, new gen Engine is really good. Look at VW's twincharger tech. They need to be serviced after 15k nia.

Well not really lo. It all depends on the quality of the semi kua. I remember back in UK, Merc can tahan up to 30k running on fully syn. But not here in Malaysia, guess its the weather.

For me, I usually just let the SC use the semi syn cause I feel 10k cycle is ok. Too troublesome keep going to service. I wish 20k like Volvo for our mazda, since Volvo S40 is brother to the Mazda 3.
