Errr... Does owning a Ford qualify you to be an expert of Mazda cars?
I don't think it was your intention, but you need to wipe the misconception or at least show that Mazda does not belong to the same group as Ford anymore. If not, you sound no better than the old salesman preaching about why your car must be a H&T. I cannot say about Ford but parts for Mazda are generally not expensive. After all, most parts are made in Japan and are therefore originals.
I believe this would be the same too for Ford but what I liked about Bermaz is that they managed to keep spare part prices to reasonable figures (thought they can do better). What I don't like about Bermaz (as well as many Mazda owners too) is that their level of service competence. I believe this is gahpadu's main gripe about Bermaz.
On FC, you're comparing diesel 2.0 vs petrol 2.0L?
Of course the diesel is more frugal but personally I dislike diesel. I can tolerate petrol fumes but not diesel especially if we still get crappy diesel fuel. Every morning when I'm outside and when my neighbour starts his diesel car, I'm reminded of a diesel taxi. The smell and sound of a diesel brings me vivid images of Pudu station back in the days.
Really no idea. The only SC that I keep getting rave reviews is Lexus. But owning one is crazy.
Stories of BMW honouring warranties is also not great.
Polo or Golf?
The hatch Mitsu is ugly for me.
The 308T? No idea about competence of Naza but I think it's also like Bermaz and depends on luck if you get a good or a bad car.
So all in all, I think Mazda keeps getting back in terms of looks, balance of FC/power and equipment. But the thing is after one bad experience, don't know if you're willing to go back...
