Mini OC Report: GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD7 & GSkill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO

Lately I sold a few hardwares and try to get something to play with. Here's the overclocking overview that could help you to buy what the best suite for you.

Hardware info:
GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD7 : Here!
GSkill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO : Here!

Eventhough the ram is special design to suit Intel, but I'm eager to test it.

Too bad on CL9. I can't figure out how to maximise it. Hence, SPI 1M Stable only sad.gif

Personal Thoughts:
GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD7
  • Rich with overclocking features.
  • User friendly & stable bios eventhough it's just early bios (F1)
  • Dual bios make life easy in overclocking.
  • Good cooling solution.
  • Some ram divider won't work. User problem maybe laugh.gif
  • Retail Price : RM8XX

GSkill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO
  • Acceptable range for AMD mileage
  • Suitable for normal user due to low volt.
  • Low profile heatsink + nice
  • Retail Price : RM4XX

Gigabyte getting quite solid and it's over my expectation. Nice built of component and stability is so impressive for air cooling overclocking.
Gskill as usual try to bring something different for enthusiast and normal user.

Overclocking is about push some components beyond the limits. So, I believe you will get what you have paid for. Life is hard. Enjoy!

Special Thanks:
Gigabyte Malaysia.
