Problem : DS3 unable to turn ON nor CHARGE

This started with one of my DS3 loosing juice pretty fast, and usually rotate both of them to charge when either one goes dry. didn't occur to me at first, and I thought that it has been played for a few session.

Now one of them is unable to charge nor turn ON. I suspected the batt died.

Here's what I did;
I opened up the DS3 just to check if the battery was the issue.

Swapped the battery to another working controller = can charge pulak

Placed a newly charge batt to the faulty DS3 > can't seem to get it to ON and can't charge at all!

What could be wrong?

I guess it has to be original as I bought it a the launch of PS3 Slim MY in 1U.
Can anyone here please advice me what to do?

How to claim for warranty?

It was bought during the launch. Have no idea where the receipt gone too. but the box is still with me.

Wonder why it went dead on me.

I've just sent my unit for service & repair, only after got to find out from the service tech claims that the price for repair is almost equivalent to a new set.
Anyone here has sent his/her DS3 for claim after warranty period?
I purchased it 31st October 2009, and only passed 3 weeks for warranty .. so sad.

Come to think of it I should had bought another new unit and claim the rosak one 2 months later using the newly purchased receipt, then I might end up with 3 DS3 if I had to pay for almost the same price of a new set. Sigh!
(they can't track down the serial number of purchase also)
