hiya guys, i've read the manual  not to put ps3 ontop of wooden materials right?
so i was wondering any suggestions to prevent the bottom of the ps3 laying on my wooden shelf?
without using a stand

hmm...and mine was always on top of my hard wood tv table...and now in SG on my wife's hard wood floor... sweat.gif
any reason why it can't be on top of wood? scared the wood will burst into flames? doh.gif

WTA - is it possible to hook up external 3.5" IDE hdd to ps3 via usb? tried it but just comes out the starting screen but without the xbar interface (just background).

am i doing something wrong or is it because the ps3 won't take IDE?

another question, will the ps3 recognize a 3.5" external SATA hdd?

thanks in advance!

ps3 can detect external HDD if they are formated to FAT32
*
i formatted the ide hdd to fat32 d. still no detection, and just background of the interface shown (no xbar interface).

i have 2 hdd, both 80g --- 1 sata & 1 ide. i bought external drive for the ide 'cause it had important data i needed to transfer to my laptop.

so if ps3 can't detect ide, i'll just go down to the shop and exchange it for a sata external smile.gif

checked the web, but nothing conclusive. 1 website say can, another say cannot rclxub.gif

Would playing a PS3 on a 27" be sufficient? Or is it wasting, meaning, should get a bigger monitor...
*
bigger always better. if you're getting the monitor new, might as well save up and add more to get a proper lcd tv.
