All fat ps3 will get YLOD. Better prepare to buy a new slim ps3 before your fat ps3 die for good.

dem, scary....aih i guess gotta start to fund for slim then

anyway, some updates on troubleshooting, read some suggestions on other forums regarding similar case
1. rest my ps3 for bout 45 mins
2. start up my ps3 and go to recovery menu
3. did a "recover file system"

tested same game again, so far no issues ....yet(finger crossed)

hopefully it can last longer

Would playing a PS3 on a 27" be sufficient? Or is it wasting, meaning, should get a bigger monitor...
*
its a very subjective question, some ppl can watch tv on a 42" while some can watch it on 29"

so its the matter of preference. As for spec wise, 27" is definitely full HD already, which means it can project 1080p.

and lastly, what will be the distance between u and the monitor? my ps3 is next to my pc, i play my ps3 like how i play pc, and i'm using 24" and i find it just nice, so 27" should be fine in my opinion

ok,i wanna buy a new monitor for my ps3.
put it on my college so i can play with you guys(rather than reads all about your fun with one another but cant play it).

the monitor i'm planning to buy got the hdmi ports.
just wondering,how about the audio?

is it good if i just buy any bluetooh headset and use only the sound from there?
*
u have 3 options

1) Get a monitor with built in speaker, connect ps3 by using HDMI and sound will be projected from the built in speaker of the monitor.
2) Get a monitor with audio-out port, connect ps3 by using HDMI and connect a male-to-male 3.5" audio cable from monitor to sound card's line-in, or connect a speaker to the audio-out port.
3) get a Y-splitter, connect your ps3 by using HDMI cable, connect your component cable to your ps3, the red and white cable from component cable, plug it to the Y-splitter, then connect it to line-in or connect it to speaker

Guys, i just bougt PS3 fat REFURBISH SET
can this ps3 use for online gaming?
im so new with ps3, just jump from xbox to ps3 area
*
by right your ps3 can play online as long as the firmware is at the latest, but to be safe, confirmed with the seller did they use the ps3 for jailbreak purpose before, if yes, then you might be at risk of being banned when you go online.

well, is there a way to prevent our PS3 PHAT going "that" direction?

by cleaning the fan, reapplying thermal paste , will it help to prevent my ps3 getting ylod?
