sjn, the YES package comes with a USB Router ke? if yes, kinda good, but the YES rate is mahal lah.. whoever got streamyx, better stay with it..

lets say, i buy the the usb and direct connect to the ps3..can it connect? and can 3g router support 4g? me on networking is very sak..haha!

why not buy outside? i think is the same and they do give you HDMI cable right? if you want to buy from sony center, i think you want it to be installment payment then.

use hdmi dvi for video and optical cable if your sonic gear support it or use the composite cable came with your ps3 for audio(red and white)

Step 3: Activating the “Self-Cleaning” Feature
You may not realize this, but Sony wants to help you clean your PS3 too (well anything built later than the 40GB model). To facilitate this, the company built in a neat power on function that is meant to dust out the interior of the console. Sure you can risk everything and take apart the PS3 to clean the inside but after running this trick you probably won’t need to.

Here’s how you activate the console’s in-built cleaning functionality:

  1. Plug in your cleaned PS3 from Step 2 – You need to power up the unit to make this work, so return it to its normal home or bring the plug over to your cleaning space.
  2. Make sure the power switch on the PS3 is off – The unit needs to be fully powered down, not just in standby.
  3. Turn on the power switch while holding down the Eject button – the system should fire up and you should hear all the system fans come on at once.
  4. Wait for the system to return to “Standby” mode – If you did this correctly the unit will blow out all the fans for about 10 seconds before going into standby mode.

Once you’ve done this process your PS3 should be fairly dust free on the inside. You can repeat the steps a few times just to be extra sure.

many would say "WTH is this guy talking about"...well, from my experience most of local gamers experience lag online play, this is most likely caused by limited connection due to the use of Modem/Router...~ in order to eliminate/minimize this, you need to forward your PSN ports...

Since most of us provided with Ridger Wifi/Modem, here's a quick step on how to do the ports forwarding:
Check list:

1. Defaul Gateway, Static ip, Net mask, DNS (streamyx default: 202.188.0.133, 202.188.1.5)
2. PSN Ports TCP: 80, 443, 5223
                  UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658 (Voice application)
3. DMZ ip setting
4. UPnP enable

hi all, i got audio question to ask. i got altec lansing 2.1 speaker and lcd monitor with audio in & out . supported hdmi too. speaker only have 1 audio hole and i plug in the other end to my lcd monitor audio in or out also no sound from speaker. anyone can guide me ?
