if i plug hdmi cable fr ps3 to tv...it will have video+audio out from tv rite? i dont have to use another external speaker rite?

yes, in ps3..audio output setting..set to hdmi. it should have sound out from ur tv. if still no sound, try check ur tv setting and adjust any setting if need. afterthat should be ok and sound from ur tv

i have 2 noob questions to ask. my ps3 it's 80gb version.

1) what is the correct way to turn off the console? power button or in xmb?
2) what is the maximum hours turn ps3 on or play games? not until console temperature hot or hardware burn

if halfway upgrade firmware, power outage - how ah? can continue update from where i stop?

if halfway update patch ps3 games, power outage - can resume later?

power outage while downloading the firmware/patch,need to redownload.
power outage while ps3 installing the firmware might brick your ps3(not sure about it)need to google more about it
power outage while installing a games patch might corrupt the game data.but can delete the game data if corrupt and reinstall and redownload the patch and reinstall

i tot no one shutdown their PS3 from the power button...normally i exit to XMB..then press the PS button on DS/Move..then select Shut Down

i tot someone already ON his ps3 more than 24H before i never exceed more than 12 H..no time to play

1) Either way, doesn't matter. But since yours the phat model, you don't want to smudge your PS3 then just off via your controller.
2) Maximum hours? As long as you can tahan la... as long as you're playing in a cool room.

got my ps3 finally....

i notice my ps3 does not sits firmly on the table, 1 out of 4 rubber thingy under it i guess is misaligned as it is shorter it seems...

better make it stand.get a stand for Slim if yours are Slim PS3.

Sangat memerlukan bantuan/pandangan/idea untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang aku alami pada PS3 Slim.

PS3 Slim
120GB - SG set
CECH-2006A
Firmware version : 3.50
Warranty : TIADA WARANTY

Masalah :

- Apabila quit dari Games, PS3 akan hang dan terus hang.
- Apabila main games, selepas 1 jam, sistem akan menjadi slow dan menjadi panas. Saya hanya guna kipas sahaja. Tak ada air-con.
- Sudah tukar hard disk tapi masalah masih sama.
- Sudah tukar bateri, tapi masih sama juga.
- Sudah re-index tapi masalah masih sama.
- Sudah hantar dengan kawan di KL tapi masih belum dapat rectify apa masalahnya.

Minta tolong sangat2 kalau sapa ada idea/cadangan yang boleh aku lakukan, mau beli baru...huhuhuhu....belum mampu.

i have 320GB slim, played more than 9 hours in non air-conditioned room. not hot, only warm. i think it quiet reliable.

using ceiling fan or stand/table fan?

i use for 1-2 hours...my table behind the ps3 vent is quite hot, but not until too hot too touch

MY set, ceiling fan. i put PS3 horizontally, and have a distance around 1 feet from wall and tv.

noob here.....wats the difference between PS3 console modded with the original wan???
