You can google it up. Tonnes of websites out there talking bout its features and stuff. Personally, i don't really have a good experience with 1.6. Currently using a 2.1

That's gonna difficult. You can try 2nd hand. If not i think the nearest option would be wildfire but it to be rather slow.

All have it pros and cons. However I'm using SGS now. So, go figure. Anyways, I heard the best sellers now are SGS and HTC Desire.
