I got my Kindle!! rclxm9.gif

Thanks to havocx for all the trouble. icon_rolleyes.gif

This bulk is actually my first time paying such a big amount upfront for buying something (normally I do COD). When I first express my interest in joining the bulk, he PM-ed me all his information, with a whole list details and he took time to answer all my concerns too. notworthy.gif

Not surprisingly, I wasn't worried at all for the bulk with the frequent updates sent by havocx even with his busy schedule. When the kindles arrived, he not only PM-ed, but also SMS-ed to notify on the kindle's arrival.

The excited me couldn't wait any longer and quickly arranged a meetup with havocx. I only gave him like 20 minutes notice. tongue.gif When he passed me the kindle, he took the time to do a demo on the kindle as well. I was practically drooling on the e-ink display.

havocx, thanks for all your time and effort in organizing this bulk. Kudos!

now.. time to continue playing with my kindle. wub.gif

Heh Salute Yong  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif Thanks for the compliments, glad youre enjoying your Kindle  nod.gif
Will try my best to handle the new orders coming in. Its really hard work though since I do have my normal day job to do, this should be my last bulk for Kindle's though. The first was cuz I was ordering two for myself, 2nd one to help out those who still is looking out for one, but maybe not a 3rd Bulk, we'll see though smile.gif

The 4.82 is shipping to Malaysia ? Thats an amazing price is thats the shipping cost. In any case glad to have helped earlier, hope you enjoy your Kindle, let me know if you have further questions on the Kindle, ive 'Jailbroken' mine haha ! Thanks again!

Here i come.. tongue.gif

If you're using Malaysian address for your Amazon account, you don't get any books at all. Even if you use other countries where Amazon deliver Kindle to, (eg: Thailand, Philippines) some of the books will be more expensive by USD2 compared to the US version.

For Kindle 3g, you can't change the simcard (You can always hack it. And change some files inside Kindle). If you order from Amazon US, you get AT&T simcard inside your Kindle. Amazon pays for the roaming charges. If your Amazon account is registered to US address, you can use it to surf all websites (rather than a limited subset of websites). I haven't really used it yet, since I'm trying to avoid detection from Amazon that I'm outside US, but it works. smile.gif If I get detected, will see if I still can use it. If not probably I will just change the simcard inside.

If you're going to get books from Amazon, and you have 3G Kindle, make sure you choose the option "Transfer to your computer" rather than deliver to your Kindle directly. If you get the books using the 3G, you will be charged with USD2 per book delivered through 3G. That's the international Whispernet charges.

Just so that you know, Amazon don't deliver to Singapore too. smile.gif

From what I read, it may be because of the censorship that our government has. Not sure though.. All rumors. smile.gif

Just a warning, if you use 3G to sync with Whispernet (outside of US), it's USD2 per book.

I picked the 3G version for fun. biggrin.gif It's not much of a premium, and you get free roaming as well. Good if you're stuck in a airport overseas and there is no free wifi available. I also wanted to see if it's possible to do anything else with the 3G (A-GPS anyone?). smile.gif

Other than that, I don't really see a point of getting 3G version if you're just going to use it locally. Some phones can even act as an hotspot so you can just connect your kindle to your phone. smile.gif

Heh thanks for that feedback ailinchia. Maybe a correction there, an additional USD2 per book on top of the books original Kindle Price smile.gif Correct ?

*
Yup. It's an additional of USD2 per book on top of the original price.
Now u make me curious on the Kindle DM as well. Anything I will be interested in? Haha. tongue.gif
