i just got myself an ip4(came from digi package) and using celcom 3g postpaid now. I have unlimited data usage for celcom now and when i put in the micro sim into the phone everything seems to be ok. I can even use my 3g to surf now when i turn on the 3G and Data usage at the network setting on my ip4.

What i really want to ask is do i need to do any settings when using celcom 3g for data/internet usage? i am reading the past post and it seems you guys say need to put APN as "celcom3g" as for my current iphone4 setting which came from digi originally has nothing there. not sure if i need to do any settings or not before using 3g data.

Is it just plug and play or must some setting be done for celcom 3g on ip4?

The APN setting is only for mms services which we rarely use now since everyone owns a smartphone and can just email or whatsapp photos smile.gif

hey guys anyone using celcom braodband plan in ip4??im using the 5gb package and its kinda slow...suppose to be around 3.6mbps but then my ip4 only show like around 50kbps per second...

It depends on your location. If there are a lot of users then the bandwith is congested and your connection will drop to Edge. Even if it doesn't drop it will still be slow.

Miss the good old days of 3G when you can even run torrents at full blast!

It seems that the carrier setting for Celcom has been updated. I just plugged my iPhone few minutes before and a message box appeared informing me that an update to the carrier settings was available. Hence, I clicked the "OK" button and it seems that the Celcom logo has now changed to just "Celcom". Previously, it was "MY CELCOM". Also, the carrier information viewable from "Settings" has now changed to Celcom 9.1.

I am still looking around to see real impact to an iPhone running a Celcom card. I think it is just a cosmetic update. But, I could be wrong.

I am on iphone 3GS and my partner is on iphone 3G. Both of us has been experiencing major call drops ad no network detected in these last week. Hopefully this update will settle all problems.
