If they sell at this price, what advantage celcom will get?
*
w/out contract but for existing bb contract holder

i bet celcom gonna extend the contract, no way w/out extending the bb contract wink.gif

remember, telcos main profit from service

profit from phones are 2nd to them

although some phones are hot sellers but its just a one time

unlike contracts, if maintain long enough they'll get fanboy, err i meant loyal customer for years

yup, the celcom receptionist staff, the one that gonna give u the appropriate ticket number

i'm telling him what my intentions coming over - to change micro sim, activate itemised bill, activate e-billing

then he said "micro sim sekarang x bleh lg, kte tunda 15 Oktober, tu pun KEMUNGKINAN 15 Oktober la"

the "after iPhone launch" line was me, i said "oo tggu iphone launch, huh!"

the staff just "errr....." kinda speechless laugh.gif

... i dunno if you get off spreading rumors. a lowly celcom receptionist most certainly don't know anything about... anything really. no use trying to trick him into telling you some obscure launch date.

for all you know oct 15 is just for micro-sim only. dont get your hopes for nothing, particularly from someone who only registered on the forums a few months ago. you know these notorious assholes who get banned for spreading other ip4 rumors on maxis/digi thread. they just make a new acct and talk more shiz.
*
even official news also crap la, ni kan rumors

ceo celcom told that micro-sim will be available at all of its branches by 1st Oct

they delayed it to 15th Oct doh.gif that is, if its really on the 15th!

basically i just wanted to itemised my bill & e-bill it, cant do it online, have to do it @ celcom outlets

so i'm thinking.. hey, y not get myself a new micro-sim card (for my iphone 4 that i aldy bought months ago whistling.gif ) for just rm10 since today is 1st Oct!

to my surprise they delayed it..

dont make promises that u cant keep doh.gif

QUOTE(sythersly @ Oct 12 2010, 12:22 PM)
eh bro what do you mean by increases the TCO? I thought i can simply buy a SG set, get the microsimcard & apply for the cheapest data plan (rm 38)..

my monthly commitment now is rm50 (exec50), so i thought i only need to pay rm 50 + 38/month..correct me if i am wrong..
*
if u really gonna need/use the phone now, just buy it now

don't waste ur time play the waiting game

buy it if u really need it

if u can wait, then play the waiting game

only u can decide whether the extra savings that u could have been saved worth it not (justify ur needs/purpose)

QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Oct 12 2010, 12:59 PM)
@sythersly so you'll be paying RM88 for 2 years or more. what happens if in Dec, Celcom launches a RM88 plan? buy iPhone for RM1888 and RM88 for 2 years. how?
that would probably be for the full-speed (RM99 currently) data plan. your RM38 plan is just for 3G (384k) speed.
*
if its happen on Dec, just terminate & subscribe it on Dec

who told you u need to subscribe celcom data plan for 2 years? (go whack his/her head, jk jk laugh.gif )

u can terminate the call plan (exec50) + the data plan (rm38/month) anytime

no contract what-so-damn-ever tied, call celcom's CS & ask wink.gif

QUOTE(F1meteor @ Oct 12 2010, 04:05 PM)
but are u sure u can signup for the celcom so called new plan for iphone?

stupid maxis doesn't allow me to sign up for ivalue plan because i didn't get ip4 from them...

same as digi. they don't sell me their ip4 digi plan...
*
nope, certainly cant

tell u what, buy from SG

later, buy local iphone + contract

sell the local bought iphone rm100 cheaper than outright purchases option

its the same, either buy local save few hundred bucks

buy sg set, sell local set & gain profit few hundred bucks

in the end, its all up to u

QUOTE(kitkat @ Oct 12 2010, 04:23 PM)
you simply want maxis plan?
why dont like this, u get the plan, i pay for the phone.
*
exacta

QUOTE(tripelw @ Oct 12 2010, 04:25 PM)
i think better buy now la.... jump to M or D... coz like before they say, celcom will bring iphone 3gs.. but till now nothing happen.. if they have a plan to sell it why not put it official.. like put on website or make press release. This can avoid us to jump ship and wait till the offical lunch.

Why need to hide coz Celcom already know what other telco offer.
*
it aint just an agreement that u can just sign with apple u know

else, u mobile, heck even telekom m'sia might aldy selling iphones now laugh.gif

thats why u only see, in some country, only a few telcos selling iphones, not all telcos (such as m'sia)

biz comes with a few plans to choose - P28, P48, P148. The number indicates the price per month. I am choosing P148 as I got RM148 monthly credit which I never exceed plus free bband.. smile.gif... free bband is the reason I take this plan .. smile.gif .. no point taking P48 + BBand at RM98 which cost me similar price. smile.gif.

Exec has exec50 and exec250 which price at RM50 and RM250 respectively. smile.gif.
*
i would choose biz plan if, only if the commitment fee is bundled with calls & sms usage sweat.gif

If we use Celcom Exec 50 plan, must change to a new plan or not eh?
Anybody knows?

unless celcom allows outright purchases

we have to subscribe to the new plan in order to buy the iphone

Hi. Need help to understand a bit more of Celcom plan because I'm gonna try them out and get a new Iphone 4. I'm interested in i98 plan (I find it the best for 12 months - just extra RM 30 more and I can cancel phone already compared to Digi (Digi must be 24 months).

1. Do I have to pay for the following services?
    i. Itemized billing
    ii. Call Waiting

2. After plan is over, can I easily switch to other mobile carriers?

3. Is warranty void if the phone is jailbroken?

Any help would be great - as I'm very want to get white ip4.
*
1. Itemized billing - Yes, chargeable per monthly
Call waiting - Nope

2. Yes, can MNP to other mobile carriers after contract expired

3. Yup, will void warranty when jailbreak.. just do a fresh restore before claiming warranty
