QUOTE(Eiraku @ May 9 2011, 07:57 PM) About the 3G disappearance thing, my theory is some of the cell towers around KL/Penang/Klang Valley are old but reliable, so it has yet to be upgraded to match the iPhone 4's (or any iPhone for that matter) agressive type of network searching/switching. Even more so with the amount of traffic that Celcom Broadband/data has. Any stories from other telco regarding this.? Or it just haapen to iOS 4.3 due to Personal hotspot.?Some of the outlaying areas with more recent 3.5G coverage have newer towers and hardware, which means that they should have no problem. Plus they have much less traffic, hence less of these problems. This is also why, a couple of weeks back before official launch, I did wonder out loud if Celcom's cellular infrastructure was adaquate to handle the hit coming from mass numbers of data bullies (iPhones) coming online at once. You guys have to keep in mind that unlike the other telcos, Celcom has NEVER officially offered the iPhone before this, and they might have to re-optimise their network. Something Maxis/Digi most probably have done post the 3G/3Gs years. That being said, I have had my fair share of weird data disconnects, but a hard reboot (hold power and home button until the Apple logo appears) usually settle these issues promptly. Added on May 9, 2011, 9:34 pm QUOTE(ice666 @ May 9 2011, 09:09 PM) 7. Once customer reaches the monthly allocated volume for Celcom Mobile Internet plans excluding data roaming, the Internet access will be blocked. This applies to the Celcom Broadband mLite and Celcom Broadband mBasic plans. The Internet access will be unblocked on the next bill cycle or when customer subscribes to the Celcom Broadband mDaily Pass. Upon next bill cycle, the FUP will be reset and service will resume as subscribed. Broadband advance has 2 different package. One is 68 and the other is 98.9. For the Celcom Broadband Basic and Celcom Broadband Advance, once reaching FUP, the speed will be throttled. Post Volume pass purchase applies to these two plans. so if we're taking the i98 plan, which we will get? 1) Celcom Broadband mLite 2) Celcom Broadband mBasic 3) Celcom Broadband Basic 4) Celcom Broadband Advance For the Advance 68 the higher than this is called Pro which is 98 Celcom broadband is so confusing This post has been edited by CyberianHusky: May 9 2011, 09:34 PM |
