Hmm...mine is automatic...

u can try:

1. Disconnect ur iphone
2. Set your itune preference >
a) Automatic update when open itune
b) Automatic open itune when connect iphone
c) Automatic sync when iphone connect
3. Close itune
4. Connect your iphone
5. Itune should auto starts and check for update / prompt for update carrier

I guess u need 4.2.1 to get carrier update, not sure...

have to upgrade to 4.2.1 ...i guess i'll wait for the stable 4.2.1 JB then i'll do the upgrade...we'll see next yr whether celcom will be iphone carrier or not

i'm on 4.1 and did not received any carrier update notification in itunes but already using carrier celcom 9.1..

wat r the changes after update the carrier setting? facetime will work?

Good News... Just come back from Celcom Branch to pay my bill. Ask about iPhone 4, the Consumer Service told me that iPhone 4 will be lunch this month.

i asked customer service at celcom hq jalan ampang... they said they donno when will celcom launch the IP4.... hmmm which info can be trusted???

guys, im able to activate my facetime..i did not know what fixed it, but i just kept on trying..when it is still not activated, when i remembered, i just go in and activate facetime; usually not successful, today when i remembered again, i go in and saw that it is activated..all my contacts have "facetime" option with them..

yes Bus Driver, 4.2.1 and celcom 9.1..usually on free times i just kept on trying and trying..i think last i tried was sometime at 2-3pm and i just left it..just now i want to try again, its already on..but IF im not mistaken, i saw my friends on Maxis, it says "Facetime Activated" under the facetime switch, but in my case it says "your number will be shared with people you call on facetime"..refer image..

Just tested it with my fren, and it works..bus driver, keep on trying, it says unsuccesful, just off it, wait 4a while b4 trying again..eventually it will get activated..at least that is wat happened to me..hopefully d next time u check on dat page it is activated!

Ok dude,will be checking and deactivating more often..hopefully Celcom won't charge me for the unsuccessful attempts!

is ur iphone 4 4.2.1 w/o JB?
