I've just updated the carrier setting to Celcom 9.1..
changes.. 1. MY CELCOM change to Celcom 2. Internet tethering fields in Cellular Data missing.. but I still can activate internet tethering.. maybe if I reboot, the option will disappear and no longer can activate tethering.. can some one confirm this? 3. Celcom bookmark in Safari 4. No "Call Forwarding Active" message i'm on 3GS 4.1 using itune 9 This post has been edited by cakciborEleven: Dec 13 2010, 04:55 PM |

QUOTE(yeowhan @ Dec 12 2010, 05:38 PM) when dis alert msg came out "Your carrier may charge for SMS message used to activate FaceTime" it actually shows that ur iphone is trying to activate facetime with ur current sim Its only free for maxis user bro..i called celcom&maxis call centre b4,celcom person said its charged & after he checked my bill, its cnfirmed dat ive sent international sms..not sure how much it cost, didnt received my bill yet..n maxis person said its free for their customer.. P/s: still stuck in "waiting for activation" & it'll eventually set to "off".. however, try to go setting > phone and check whether the facetime status izit 'waiting for activation' if it stuck there.. no charges will be made as ur sim doesnt send out any msg yet to activate the facetime im using hotlink prepaid on my iphone and have the same issue with u so i m pretty sure there's no any charges |

QUOTE(Bus Driver @ Dec 14 2010, 01:58 AM) Then, may I suggest reading these articles (just in case you haven't read them), and see if one of them could end your misery.http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...98264&tstart=15 http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/how-to/iphone...for-activation/ http://forums.redflagdeals.com/1phone-4-fa...ivation-920541/ http://modmyi.com/forums/unlocking-activat...n-t-mobile.html http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...98264&tstart=15 http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1500466 Like I have said, my Facetime is working as it should. So, I am not so sure if the solutions given above would work on you. If one of them works, I would definitely be glad. But, one of my friends had a problem with his Facetime and found a solution from the first article. Happy reading. On a sidenote, are your MMS and tethering features working as they should be? You might want to look at their configurations as well. This post has been edited by apoc1810: Dec 14 2010, 01:37 AM |

Thanks for the links APOC,I think other Celcom users are also having the same FaceTime problem like me..
My MMS is ok. After i updated the carrier settings to Celcom 9.1,nothing happens to the settings when I do a Network reset..it's like the Celcom settings are locked in..last time, when I do a reset, the settings clear off..this is kinda weird..anyone facing the same thing? Tethering option is still there but no Tethering settings like before..having really tried tethering though. So you are actually on IOS 4.2.1 and Celcom 9.1 carrier updated? |
