1st post all photos : Why all ISO 1000 in bright day light ?
2nd post : don't need ISO 640 as well. Look at the shutter speed. 1/4000. You can reduce the ISO to 200 as well. 3rd post looks fine for me but not portrait post. Most portrait background looks messy. |

My advice is u need to pay more attention to the composition. Try to move around to choose a better point of view.
For example pic#3, just slightly move to the side to avoid the 'antenna' coming out from the model's head, and your shadow casted on the leg part. Pic#30 is a good shot |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Sep 22 2010, 11:37 AM) I dont know how to use ISO lolz T.T ISO is just the sensitivity of the sensor in your DSLR, in the film days, it is the sensitivity of the film, due to different types of chemicals being used to achieve different sensitivity towards light.Yeah didnt noticed the antenna and my shadow.. Thx Oh and btw, i have to move and snap quick becoz the model was complaining hot la, mosquito la, ants la, etc etc.... Where got model complains eh??? Usually you don't need to set ISO most of the time, usually normal sunny daylight just set it to ISO 100 or 200. If you want to "freeze" high speed action, then set to higher ISO like ISO 400/800, then couple with a higher shutter speed, like 1/1000s above If you're in darker room and don't want to use flash, then using higher ISO like 1000 or 1600 will make your pic brighter but at the cost of making your pic look very grainy. Usually you just let the ISO settings to be constant most of the time, you will only have to play around with either Aperture/Shutter Speed or combination of both to get the best results. No need to bother so much about ISO because that is not the first issue you gonna pay attention on your creation...
First thing is composition. If you found out you're very difficult to stick with rule of third when you're shooting, edit it later on so that the subject is framed nicely. Scenery photo, seriously lack of perspective, lead in line, and foreground interest... And second is about lighting. A photo shouldn't be overexposed or underexposed unless it's intended to be (for HDR, high contrast BW photo and etc). Both ways will cause data missing and can't be recovered even though gone through PP. My suggestion would be using Aperture Priority mode or Shutter Speed priority mode instead of Manual mode. Let the camera estimate and adjust the exposure for you. All the best! |
