I do not understand why did you removed my post. What I mean is Maxis removed the RATE PLAN Button from their website. You can't access to the rate plan unless you have the direct link. I was curious if they are going to change anything and that is why I posted in this forum.
*
Forumers reported you for not reading the first post and i removed it because the link is available in the first post of this thread. This question (where is the RATE BUTTON?) was mentioned numerous time in this thread or the previous thread hence i made it easy for everyone to refer to the rates link (refering to the first post of this thread) without the hassle of going thru few pages of links to get to the rate page. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Also, it's up to Maxis to remove the RATE PLAN link if they choose to (it's their own website) and perhaps choosing a diff route to link the rates page and there's no current changes to the plans.

As i have posted, you can access the Rate links (without direct link) thru the links below.

http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone4/landing.asp > http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone4/contract.asp > http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone4/rates.asp

Thank you

Guys, if there's any important infos, please PM me so that i can post them on first post in this thread if you notice a trend of forumers asking the same questions.

Thanks n Cheers
Walbur

So the advance payment will be used for credit on the next statement?
*
Yes, also, if your prepaid still have balance, that will carry forward to your postpaid, the next billing will deduct everything.
the whole process only took about half hour... emm i think less than that.

Guys.. I'm a hotlink user, I booked my spot for that event using my current number.

And since I just receive an email from maxis stated that "Hotlink subscribers will be required to upgrade to a principal line in order to purchase an iPhone4 with an iValue plan."

So, I will subscribe another new postpaid line later..

My question is, are my new postpaid number eligible for me to purchase an ip4 during the event? Since it was different from what I registered for the event

no double charge but they will just extend your contract. let say now u left 5 months. your new contract would be 5 + 12 months if you sign for 12 months option. smile.gif

well said! I am not worried about getting the iphone or ppl get it or what. I just don't want to wait for hours and have the queue held up cos ppl can't deal with the word no and start causing arguments. Its just being considerate? No offence to anyone but thats my pov so that's why i did an ownership transfer to avoid all the trouble.  smile.gif

@Coolbreeze
I did call up a few CS and went to Pavilion Maxis to ask about ownership transfer.
Some say can bring autho letter and ic copy while some said BOTH owner and new owner must be there.
Save trouble, i took the owner to Maxis KLCC.
There is an info section to collect queue number but the info staff will take both your ic to copy and give you a registration form to filled by new owner. After that wait for your number to be called. Pass the forms to the person at the counter and tell him/her that you want to transfer from who to who and pressto! No need to change SIM card or whatever. Just do the paperwork at Maxis and they will charge RM50 transfer fee. And choose a plan or don't, if you want iValue.
Sorry for the long-winded post!

the fees for transfer of ownership will charge on my bill or i have to pay there ?

IMO, this should be possible. They should be more than happy if you apply another new line which means you would have 1 prepaid + 1 postpaid under your name.

In the end, it's still depends on the CS whether they allow this case or not.

Ok la.. if like that later I just go to Maxis center to settle it first before going to the event.. Now still considering between 16GB and 32GB and also 1 or 2 years contract...

So, make sure don't hold up the line if the CS says no, ok ? icon_rolleyes.gif Don't argue like old uncle/auntie making a big commotion for being a datuk or spend thousands every month on maxis bill with hundreds of lines or being linked to AK or know who-and-who.

I'm sure everyone would like the queue to move fast and smooth. Everyone don't want to wait few hours for it. Nor do we want to see people throw tantrums like a lady who didn't get her food or the closed boarding gate (youtube) tongue.gif

Well, for a stubborn person, let it be. Most likely, in the end, the principal line will register to his dad's name. If cannot, then we start recording video of people throwing tantrums, rolling on the floor, and post in youtube. thumbup.gif

Better be safe, so on the spot ask them to terminate.

Then double check the next day by calling the CS.

It depends on which contract you in. For example previously if you are on iValue 2 24months contract. Then you use 6 months so still have 18 months. If you updgrade contract then it will be 18 + 24 = 42 months.

You will not be able to choose 12 months if you are previously using 24 months.
