Symbian is dead long time ago, just because Android is still quite new in market, now it's chasing up.

I still find my Symbian-based N86 more reliable than my Android HTC Hero. Android phones don't seem to work with my home router WAG54G2 properly. Also sometimes when it says "Connected to Mobile Network", it's still not really connected.
Can't wait to test Symbian^3... |

older generation that uses nokia won't want to spend RM2K for a new phone.
new generation won't spend RM2K on outdated symbian, with iphone and android around. I'll see how nokia answer/fail to both challenges. I can't see how symbian^3 is going to rescue nokia |

Symbian has very little hope currently..Here is my prediction:
Soon, the top will be Android, followed by iOS, then RIM. These two will be the top leaders of the board..Following this will be Win7, then Symbian 3, followed by MeeGo.. There is ONLY ONE way for Nokia to sustain the top ranking of being the mobile phone giant..Join Android revolution.. |

Nokia should do a Samsung Galaxy S. Pack an uber spec flagship phone for Android and they'll see how great the sale will be. Then compare the sales with the N8 and Nokia forget about Symbian.
Do Nokia dare to admit Symbian is obsolete? |

However, Nokia was stubborn and cut off S90 and Maemo despite having better UI for touch interaction. They went back with S60 with a slap-on Touch Interaction which makes it non interesting. If only they give it up and went on with S90 or Maemo, I think they should have fare better. |

I dont ever want to use a sync app again. I am so used to cloud syncing that having a sync apo will make things looks bad. Who needs a computer when you can sync to a server. I can sync my info while being in another country far from my computer. Thats the way it should be.
Added on September 22, 2010, 4:13 pmAnd yes, android does give priority to wifi over mobile data. It will only switch when the wifi is not active. Also, wifi uses more power than mobile data. When your phone is in sleep mode, it will switch to mobile data to conserve battery. If this is not desirable (in other words, ur not a digi subscriber This post has been edited by shahz: Sep 22 2010, 04:13 PM |

Various of nice UI can be found without sweating your head thinking either "I want this NOKIA or that NOKIA?" Come on Nokia.. You're a leader before.. Nokia symbian might not be the most supreme OS out there right now, but many ppl started off using smartphone because of nokia. To said nokia will be fully abandon will not be true as many ppl still not get used to the new software. Eg android n ios. All i can say is nokia market will still be there even though is getting smaller.

Nevertheless, Nokia is still one of the best (if not "the" best) companies for getting the "basic" right (good reception, build quality, battery life)
It's losing market share because nowadays, people want more than just the basic |

Symbian is DEAD, my last symbian is N73, after N73 (which means after year 2006) I abandon not only Symbian but Nokia as well, because no innovative on Nokia at all.
Symbian ^3??? Ha! Ha! It just a brother edition of Symbian S60v5. Nothing special about it except slightly pretty Interface. Nokia just having a slight improvement on Meego (even thought that device is stupid did almost everythings in landscape mode). If Nokia want to save itself, Nokia needs puts more on Meego (I forgot what the name it change after the release of N900). Stop continue developed on dead product "Symbian".
