Anyone use their desire with papago voice navigation..? Do you experience sound like something broken after the voice navigation say the direction..?

hi.. would like to ask.. i planning to buy a 2nd desire.. found a guy using iphone interface MIUI.. does this means its been root? n warranty oso void? any1 can help? advice? TQVM

Yes, the phone must be rooted in order to install MIUI ROM. In terms of the warranty, if it is direct warranty under SIS (So-called "Original" warranty), the phone will no longer under warranty once rooted.

Someone in this forum mentioned he managed to solve this problem by encoding all the sounds files, which I dont know how to go about. (Dunno which encoder to use).

You may try voice navigation in Cantonese (If you understands ), the Cantonese voice works well without the clap sounds on my Desire.

Technically speaking, once the phone is unroot back to its original state (By installing the original ROM), you should be able to claim warranty as there will be no track on the phone that it had been rooted before.

MIUI ROM is one of the many custom ROMs out there, personally i would say it is still a good ROM if you can live without Sense.

Since the phone is already rooted, you can always flash to other custom ROM if you found that MIUI is not suit to your usage and preference.

Since I'm the newbies in android phone, may i know is it any risk to root my slcd desire with HBOOT 0.93? It's running at stock froyo and i do not want to flash to any custom firmware yet. I juz intended to root it tat's all. I have read the unrevoked tutorial and still not confident to root my desire as it downgraded my HBOOT. Can someone explain to me how can it be done by rooting a Hboot 0.93 desire?

In addition, may I know what is the common gps software use on andorid? Heard papago is good, but where do i find it? Can someone pm me please.

the latest unrevoked dont need you to downgrade your hboot if im not mistaken...

from XDA: SenseHD finally can get the camera working. rom from RCMixHD.
stay tune for more other SenseHD roms come with camera solution too...

I am not using SLCD so I cant guide you, may be some other taiko here could help.

May I ask, what are you expecting on your Desire by just rooting but not flashing to custom firmware?

maybe he just want to get rooting to install root required app ?

Been on SuperVillain 1.0 for 1 month, this ROM is rock stable and bug-less till I feeling bored ordy

I do not want custom firmware because i hvn get bored with the stock froyo, XD. will get myself a custom firmware after i feel bored with sotck firmware. btw, i read some guide saying that cannot downgrade hboot 0.93 as it could lead to blank lcd screen. so im quite worry to root it. unrevoked latest version is 3.2.1 right, does it support for hboot 0.93 and slcd? the official webpage doesnt gv too much detail

You using SuperVillain with LauncherPro? Everything working fine? Mine got lots of problem..force close issues, lagging, and sometimes the dock will even sink down under the screen.
I think its LauncherPro problem instead of the rom... frustrated by the lack of updates of LP.....

Yes, am using LauncherPro Plus v0.8.1.1 on SuperVillain.

I replaced the LP.apk in the SuperVillain ROM zip file before flashing over. Everythings works fine till now.

ya, tempting to drop my AuraxTSense and get this RCMixHD update
but still waiting for Neo's HD version, i am trying to be patient here.

finally, it's already 1 week im using MiUi rom after forcing myself to try a non-sense rom for more than a day. very satisfied with the performance of miui 11.26 r2 from s-murphy (using vork kernel). i got quadrant score for 1899 easily at only 2nd run. for app drawer, i have to create a folder on the screen and name it as 'app drawer' so everything that i dont want to be shown on the screen will be ni there.

and for the integration of various social network with contact, i just using the integrated miui 'Join' function. even though it's not as flexible as sense integration.

mine is a slcd set i use tis to root
