There is no mystery about the sound quality why better cable produce better sound. The conductor and the insulator/shielding property of an cable will all affecting the sound quality.

I am using better and thicker copper core than normal stock cable and I am also applying teflon for it's dielectric property.
Different material will produce different sound. Also pure cotton or nylon for wrapping the cable also has different result.
The other factor will including the braiding of the cable, what is the length interval for the braiding also produce slightly different result.

Whether or not you could perceive the difference it's depends on your equipments, your personal experience in analyzing the sound quality and of course your personal taste. But generally, everyone appreciate clearer, better dynamic and more directional sound instead of muddy, restricted , mono sound.

Sorry I don diy optical cable , I think it's impossible to diy smile.gif. You also need a AV receiver or DAC to convert your digital signal to analogue one. However I am sure your lcd has headphone out, you could use the headphone out to your micro hifi. I will pm you.

its for 3.5mm female to male cable, if other headphone using same plug then those cans can also use this. However i am not offering recabling service.
