Been waiting for this baby for so long!

Bought 1 for myself and 1 for my friend. They still have 2 units left here. Better be fast for those that wanna get.

Got it for RM 3550 from YL. Includes free screen protector, 8GB Class 6 card, and leather case (similar with X100).

Yeah. But Fujifilm has skimped on packaging. My previous X100 came with a wonderful velvet wooden box. But of course, the X100S sensor is ground-breaking so it more than makes up for the poor packaging.

Agree with you bro. It's more or less the same. Only thing certain lenses on the X-E1 make it bigger.

Size is not the factor bro. Performance is. The X100S AF is wicked fast and next-generation X-Trans II sensor is bleeding edge technology.

However, I do prefer the lense quality of the 35mm whereby its freaking sharp even when shot wide open at F1.4. The built-in 23mm on X100/X100S loses out in this.

Don't bother waiting for X-E2 la. That's around 1 year more. Even the X100 still makes amazing photos today that trashes even full-frame DSLR. What more information you need?

If you want the flexibility of changing lenses, just get the wide-angle converter WCL-X100 for X100/X100S, around RM 1k. I'm tempted also but price is a bit high.

So far nope, but haven't really fully used it.

Got my custom shutter buttons for the X100S and X-E1 from YL Jaya 33 Accessories Shop. Even got my red original Artisan strap from there. Awesome place! I think they are the only shop retailer in Malaysia that sells them.

Yeah, the X-E1 doesn't have the optical viewfinder so it save a lot of space there. And if you pair the X-E1 with pancake 18MM lens, it will really look like X100S.

On the AF in the X-E1, after the firmware upgrade, it's much better now. I don't have any more problems focusing in low-light and speed is acceptable. And after using the 35MM F1.4 for some time, the 23MM lens in the X100S let me down in sharpness. Need to reduce aperture in order to get sharper close-up shots.

X100S black colour would be more classy to me.
But knowing Fujifilm, they will probably release it later as 'limited edition' at additional price of RM1k or more.

Actually, am now thinking of selling off my X-E1 + 35mm f/1.4, and going to keep the X100S as the main daily camera.

Yes, this is one of the weakness of the built-in lense in the X100 and X100S.

So I probably might not sell my Fuji 35MM f/1.4 R, because that lens is super sharp even wide-open at f/1.4. I wished the X100S had been improved in that respect.

But anyhow, just need to reduce aperture to f/4 or f/5.6 to gain sharpness in the X100S.

Note that this problem is only for close-up / macro shots, and shots from about 30cm or more are super sharp on the X100S.

Soon soon. X100S still fresh from the oven. Give it some time.
