My new baby.
(Taken with my X-E1 + 35MM F1.4) ![]() ![]() ![]() This snapped by my X100S. ISO performance seems much better than my previous X100. ![]() Got it for RM 3550 from YL. Includes free screen protector, 8GB Class 6 card, and leather case (similar with X100). |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 1 2013, 07:42 AM) Use your nego skills to talk with them lah. QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 1 2013, 07:43 AM) Thanks. Do join the club soon. QUOTE(ZzZzz... @ Mar 1 2013, 09:22 AM) the price is just similar to X100....WTF!!!! i kena poison 99 d....anyone want give me some cash plssss Yeah. But Fujifilm has skimped on packaging. My previous X100 came with a wonderful velvet wooden box. But of course, the X100S sensor is ground-breaking so it more than makes up for the poor packaging. QUOTE(seech @ Mar 1 2013, 09:25 AM) I have both the X100 and X-E1. The body is about the same for both but the 35mm is much bigger than the X100 built in 23mm. Agree with you bro. It's more or less the same. Only thing certain lenses on the X-E1 make it bigger. QUOTE(geek8585 @ Mar 1 2013, 10:15 AM) do you mind to share a picture? Size is not the factor bro. Performance is. The X100S AF is wicked fast and next-generation X-Trans II sensor is bleeding edge technology. i just want to make a comparison see how much bigger.. if i can bare with the size, i might go for xe1... if too beeffy, then i will just go for x100s... what's your thought bro? However, I do prefer the lense quality of the 35mm whereby its freaking sharp even when shot wide open at F1.4. The built-in 23mm on X100/X100S loses out in this. |

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Mar 1 2013, 10:50 AM) But is the XE1 AF speed in low light and start up time lose far behind from the x100s? Don't bother waiting for X-E2 la. That's around 1 year more. Even the X100 still makes amazing photos today that trashes even full-frame DSLR. What more information you need? i'm gonna make a decision soon... arrgghhh... both have pros and cons... many told me this 2 model can't compare to each another, because they are at diff class... or, wait for xe2 which kinda impossible for me If you want the flexibility of changing lenses, just get the wide-angle converter WCL-X100 for X100/X100S, around RM 1k. I'm tempted also but price is a bit high. QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 1 2013, 11:32 AM) So far nope, but haven't really fully used it.QUOTE(lamjunrong @ Mar 1 2013, 12:22 PM) @geek: i am using X100 now for one week long..b4 that read lot of issue on slow AF speed, slow camera response, everything cons on the x100 stated on the web, we easily see it in a magnified way..."forgotten about the pros on x100"...but i never feel these issue drag me down, turn out i am more ready to shoot when the camera is on...since there is a delay in x100 start up, so i pre-frame the picture and then when the camera started up, i am ready to shoot...plus a extreme UHS card..nothing gets in my way Got my custom shutter buttons for the X100S and X-E1 from YL Jaya 33 Accessories Shop. Even got my red original Artisan strap from there. Awesome place! I think they are the only shop retailer in Malaysia that sells them. @shockk: mind share where u get your shutter button? there is nothing to hate bout this camera, plus the box is just lovely but the release of x100s really left x100 in the dust...sad... ![]() Silhouette? by Junrong LuLu, on Flickr ![]() Macro Test by Junrong LuLu, on Flickr This post has been edited by shockk: Mar 1 2013, 01:16 PM |

QUOTE(lamjunrong @ Mar 1 2013, 02:57 PM) haha! XD I helped TS change the title actually, since haven't been updated after so long. We also need an owners list! @shockk: or you might want to tell Fuji to make another X100S2 using X100 box...then the release will make another X100 user cry... now i only notice TS changes the topic title.. And someone asked for a comparison between X-E1 and X100S earlier right? Here it is. ![]() ** sorry for the poor quality (snapped by my iPhone 5). ** |

QUOTE(seech @ Mar 1 2013, 04:28 PM) Thanks, might pair it with the X100S eventually. QUOTE(geek8585 @ Mar 1 2013, 05:31 PM) Thanks for your image... but for me, isn't look too bulky la if compare with x100s... Yeah, the X-E1 doesn't have the optical viewfinder so it save a lot of space there. And if you pair the X-E1 with pancake 18MM lens, it will really look like X100S. i think tonight i will toss coin to decide... bro shockk, really the XE1 auto focus very far behind from X100s ar? On the AF in the X-E1, after the firmware upgrade, it's much better now. |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 1 2013, 05:52 PM) X100S black colour would be more classy to me. But knowing Fujifilm, they will probably release it later as 'limited edition' at additional price of RM1k or more. QUOTE(limchee @ Mar 1 2013, 06:31 PM) Around RM 200++. Can't remember exact price. You can call YL Accessories Shop to check price I believe. http://www.ylcamera.com.myQUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 1 2013, 05:54 PM) Bro shock, anyway way to merge x100, x10/20, and xe/xpro thread into one? or have a new mega Fuji thread. And close the 3? QUOTE(seech @ Mar 1 2013, 06:46 PM) Yeah, great ideas! Will probably merge all Fuji X-series threads together by the weekend. Easier to share ideas and tips, just same like Nikon and Canon threads. This post has been edited by shockk: Mar 1 2013, 09:39 PM |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Mar 2 2013, 12:45 AM) No comparison there. RX100 is left in the cloud of dust, crying. QUOTE(Qool @ Mar 2 2013, 01:26 AM) QUOTE(Qool @ Mar 2 2013, 01:50 AM) Nice. Second owner in LYN for the X100S! Mind telling the details of your package and where you bought from for others' reference? QUOTE(geek8585 @ Mar 2 2013, 12:52 AM) i think i will get a silver XE1 real soon together with the original leather case and strap... and suggestion for the case? Actually, am now thinking of selling off my X-E1 + 35mm f/1.4, and going to keep the X100S as the main daily camera. |

QUOTE(Qool @ Mar 4 2013, 08:12 PM) Yes, this is one of the weakness of the built-in lense in the X100 and X100S.So I probably might not sell my Fuji 35MM f/1.4 R, because that lens is super sharp even wide-open at f/1.4. I wished the X100S had been improved in that respect. But anyhow, just need to reduce aperture to f/4 or f/5.6 to gain sharpness in the X100S. Note that this problem is only for close-up / macro shots, and shots from about 30cm or more are super sharp on the X100S. QUOTE(ZzZzz... @ Mar 4 2013, 10:34 PM) Soon soon. X100S still fresh from the oven. Give it some time. QUOTE(cobray @ Mar 5 2013, 04:19 AM) When are we going to get that unified Fuji X thread? Rather than being spread thinly like this it would be nice to have one nice thread. We've discussed it and probably will be doing it up by tonight. Stay tuned!
