QUOTE(Qool @ Feb 18 2013, 12:31 AM) Bro. I'm in the same boat as u. I've asked the same question a few posts back. General consensus would be new x100 should be around RM2.5k - RM2.6k range with memory card and Fuji original case. hi there... so far i know... x100s selling price will not be a "little bit" extra I'm now holding off my temptation and waiting for x100s cos with the improvements and newer features, I don't mind to pay a bit extra. |

QUOTE(treflip @ Feb 22 2013, 07:03 PM) Why worry so much on the technical aspect of a camera (fast AF, iso performace, focal length, *megapixels* well my Leica M8 just have 10.3mp, blablabla). I know I don't You'll never walk alone... nice pic Just focus on your composition and learn more about lighting or if you want a reliable focusing system there is such thing as manual focus *just sayin* Who needs the X100s when the X100 is already a-no-complain-camera for me. Anyways here are some recent shots from my beloved X100 |

QUOTE(seech @ Mar 1 2013, 09:25 AM) I have both the X100 and X-E1. The body is about the same for both but the 35mm is much bigger than the X100 built in 23mm. do you mind to share a picture?i just want to make a comparison see how much bigger.. if i can bare with the size, i might go for xe1... if too beeffy, then i will just go for x100s... what's your thought bro? xe1 (versatality) vs x100s (hybrid focus, new manual focus features, better sensor & processor, hybrid vf)... u can just imagine how hard is the choice... i would like to have the 18mm and 35mm in the near future, but the x100s does affect me by much This post has been edited by geek8585: Mar 1 2013, 10:26 AM |

QUOTE(shockk @ Mar 1 2013, 10:33 AM) Use your nego skills to talk with them lah. But is the XE1 AF speed in low light and start up time lose far behind from the x100s? Thanks. Do join the club soon. Yeah. But Fujifilm has skimped on packaging. My previous X100 came with a wonderful velvet wooden box. But of course, the X100S sensor is ground-breaking so it more than makes up for the poor packaging. Agree with you bro. It's more or less the same. Only thing certain lenses on the X-E1 make it bigger. Size is not the factor bro. Performance is. The X100S AF is wicked fast and next-generation X-Trans II sensor is bleeding edge technology. However, I do prefer the lense quality of the 35mm whereby its freaking sharp even when shot wide open at F1.4. The built-in 23mm on X100/X100S loses out in this. i'm gonna make a decision soon... arrgghhh... both have pros and cons... many told me this 2 model can't compare to each another, because they are at diff class... or, wait for xe2 which kinda impossible for me |

QUOTE(seech @ Mar 1 2013, 11:25 AM) The X100s has the latest generation X-Trans sensor which is an improvement over the X-E1 but I suspect its mainly the inclusion of the phase detect photosites on the sensor itself. Picture quality should be the same between the X100s and X-E1. thanks for your reply so far... indeed x100s vs xe1 is really really tough for me...The new MF and faster AF of the X100s is certainly tempting but not enough to make me part with my X100 just yet. However, to choose between the X100s and X-E1 is different but also more difficult to choose. The X100s is more compact but the X-E1 is more flexible. I do love my X-E1 with the 35/1.4 but sometimes I prefer the wider 23mm of my X100. I suppose you need to decide what focal length you prefer and whether you need the flexibility. If you're ok with a fixed 35mm lens then personally I would choose the X100s over the X-E1. Then you can buy the X-E1s/X-E2 when its released.... and after read your comment, i'm more to x100s... but to be honest, i do feel 35mm deliver better IQ compare to the 23mm.. i am actually a newbie... and my fren do suggest me get the x100s... start from there because this camera will force you to do more in composition... definitely AF is important to me as well, undoubted x100s is blazing fast in this... but the question is, is xe1 lag very much behind x100s? i just want to hear from you guys especially in low light situation... |

Thanks for your image... but for me, isn't look too bulky la if compare with x100s...And someone asked for a comparison between X-E1 and X100S earlier right? Here it is. ** sorry for the poor quality (snapped by my iPhone 5). ** i think tonight i will toss coin to decide... bro shockk, really the XE1 auto focus very far behind from X100s ar? |

QUOTE(shockk @ Mar 1 2013, 05:44 PM) Thanks, might pair it with the X100S eventually. i think i will get a silver XE1 real soon together with the original leather case and strap... and suggestion for the case? Yeah, the X-E1 doesn't have the optical viewfinder so it save a lot of space there. And if you pair the X-E1 with pancake 18MM lens, it will really look like X100S. On the AF in the X-E1, after the firmware upgrade, it's much better now. |

QUOTE(shockk @ Mar 2 2013, 12:02 PM) No comparison there. RX100 is left in the cloud of dust, crying. wow, what makes you to selling off the XE1?Nice. Second owner in LYN for the X100S! Mind telling the details of your package and where you bought from for others' reference? Actually, am now thinking of selling off my X-E1 + 35mm f/1.4, and going to keep the X100S as the main daily camera. u did say the 23mm provide IQ that cannot par with 35mm i was just thinking u r a fuji x-collectors smmore |
