Here how it's begin

Set manual focus, p mode, view mode (eye sensor- ovf)
Put you eye to viewfinder (hold your eye in viewfinder)
Now, press and hold AF button, assign focus point to most right edge.
Press AEL/AFL........ Then the x100 will freeze.

Anyone can help try out. Is it just happen to me or is bug of x100

according to the battery itself , its a 2600mah , but somehow i doesnt believe on the mah , i think most probably its 1600 or 1800mah only.

I have always used the MF to bypass the need to press the macro button. Normally I set my AEL/AFL to lock just the focus then I can adjust exposure separately.

I find that I use the EVF most of the time as it is 100% accurate and also any changes to f or exp can be seen on the screen. Maybe been brought up in the digital generation. The OVF is beautiful but can't seem to trust taking the pic without knowing what it looks like first.

Definitely EVF is a must for macro due to parallax error.

dpreview did some test on the X100 lens. Quite interesting to find how well it performs at certain apertures. The one on f8 for macro is here:

Yeah. I notice that also. Can't seem to focus within the MF focus box.... A quick check on the net and some people believe that the actual focus point has shifted down and to the right in this firmware update. I haven't tried it enough to comment but they may be right. Dunno why its like that......

Some have suggested moving the AF box up and to the left. Again, have not tried it yet so dunno.

Did some testing with my X100 and indeed the focus point for MF is down and to the right of the focusing box. Moved the box up and to the left.... problem solved. Hope they fix this in the next update.

i wanted to buy the lens hood but ori seem like much expensive if compare with JJC, but JJC have two different size of mount ring for x100 which are 49mm and 52mm. Which should i buy?

hi , i tried download and upgrade my firmware to the v1.21 but my camera keep on telling me there's no new version firmware detected .
any suggestion on what should i do or i downloaded the wrong upgrade version?

i saw there were external flash function at the menu, anyone knew how to used?

Man..  Mine got this aperture blade sticky issue.. put it at f16 and shutter at auto.. and get overexposure.. and when I look in front, sometime aperture opening very small and sometime big..

I'm in JB.  I bought it used.  Still got 1 month warranty left.  Will be going to JB collection center on Friday.

The 1st 3 digits is 12M.

I bought a ipad camera connection kit from machine today.  Can directly connect my x100 to my ipad and download the photos.  After I installed iphoto for iOS, can edit photos if needed..

The whole combo (x100 n ipad) is great for travelling lite.. no more bulky dslr with a laptop..

Added on April 27, 2012, 10:41 pmI dig out my dad's old school flash, (brand name: Crown), and shoot with X100, it works, but due to no TTL, i need to use the ND filter, flash compensation, and exposure compensation, iSO fix at 200, shutter at 1/4000 then only normal.

No other way to go around this?
