1200 MS Points, 1.0GB.
Just tried the demo. It's fun, funny, and can be addictive.
Anyone bought it?

This game is actually a pretty decent game for the price-about 9-10 hours of gaming to get 100% achievements.
Cut-scenes and dialogue are hilarious and the action is passably fun, combat is more interactive than just clicking away with the gamer rewarded for alternating attacks and block countering. My major gripe about the game is that all the armor and weapons are fixed, so the drop system for an action RPG is not that rewarding because you will eventually find every drop in the game. Similarly the levelling up system is very shallow so that by the time you get to level 20 you will have earned every skill, which to me misses the point of an action rpg. Final verdict, fun to play through but no replayability. However, for the production values and entertainment, it's worth the asking price. This thread however, is about 2 months late. The sequel, deathspank: thongs of virtue comes out on 22nd September, that's wednesday or 2 days from today for 1200 billgatespoints. This post has been edited by Kidicarus: Sep 20 2010, 03:17 PM |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Sep 20 2010, 03:13 PM) This game is actually a pretty decent game for the price-about 9-10 hours of gaming to get 100% achievements. Loved the PS3 demo, and here's to hoping that Throngs of Virtue is more meaty at the same price. haha.Cut-scenes and dialogue are hilarious and the action is passably fun, combat is more interactive than just clicking away with the gamer rewarded for alternating attacks and block countering. It's also very very tedious, I'm just glad near the end I can eat and run at the same time! But I dont see myself picking up thongs of virtue though.
