QUOTE(rekrazie @ Oct 4 2010, 01:53 PM) did anyone noticed that Nani has changed boots from Nike Mercurial Vapor to Adidas F50? I tot he is sponsor by Nike? Or the player have the permission to choose and try any other boot? probably signed by adidas start from this season?Other than Nani, Dani Alves also has changed boot from Nike to Adidas. oh well, Van Der Vaart performed brilliant for this starting season in Tottenham, just at a bargaining price for 8mil++ |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Oct 16 2010, 01:13 PM) +1 dude i'm not sure about the debt, but i know Glazer isn't that stupid to plan this debt in short term1. The debt is big. But a large chunk of it's been controlled by the bonds. The club is more than capable of repaying interest on those bonds and the due date for the principal debt of those bonds aren't due till 2017, where, probably it will be refinanced again. The PIKs are the big worry for the short term, but we have to remember that the PIKs are secured against the Glazers. Not United. And the amount of money the Glazers can take out of United per season, has been capped by the bond issue as well. So there is a buffer. After seeing that the Glazers bought up some of the PIKs on the cheap as well as seeing United's superior cash flow, it's manageable. At least for now. 2. We need to differentiate a real cash flow loss vs a paper loss. The loss reported by the papers is a paper loss. This loss came about due to huge amortizations and depreciations on a lot of big ticket items as well as a lot of one off expenses. In terms of real money coming in and out, United have what is called, an operational profit. Meaning operational revenue > operational cost. As a matter of fact, EBITDA is up to 100 million pounds. This also explains, despite record accounting losses, United's cash balance last year vs this year is still roughly the same. United have 160 million pounds cash in bank for operational cash flow, as well as player purchases. You have to take into account the fact that a lot of the reported losses come from amortizations, such as goodwill, unrealised losses from foreign exchange, as well as one off expenses such as the termination of swap deals. You can read up more about it, here. That's why I say my concern is not in the next 3 - 5 years. It's more along the lines of 10 - 17 years from now. Things get murkier due to the fact that we don't know whether United's success can be maintained, thus at least maintaining the revenue. u have to see the cash flow statement to justify their cash flow problem, from what David Gill said, we have 160m cash on hand, shouldn't be a problem for short term |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Oct 16 2010, 09:05 PM) I agree. I never said they have a cash flow problem. I even pointed out they have a healthy EBITDA and 160 million pounds cash in hand. The Glazers aren't stupid. Which is why I'm sure they'll do all that they can to expand Man United and strengthen it so that it can have the same brand power as Real and Barca. These clubs will survive a switch in managers because their brand is so good that all the best talents want to try their luck with it, no matter the league position. the stupid one will be "tom & jerry" for ex-owner of pool, short term loan plus injecting little of cash definitely killing However, as with all businesses, there will always be risk. For a heavily leveraged business like Man United, the risk is even higher. The Glazers will very damn well try. Whether they succeed is another matter altogether. with the new policy of transfer market set by the management, i don't see there is a need of splashing money every season, in fact cash flow will be healthy since we can't outbid those filthy rich club like Man City, Chelsea, Real and Barca for what i've think, the risk would be lower cause Man Utd is a global brand, the income will not fluctuate much, in fact it had been grow consistently for the past QUOTE(EmaNLeTo @ Oct 16 2010, 09:05 PM) VDS Fletcher and Scholes resting for upcoming CL game? QUOTE(boxsystem @ Oct 19 2010, 11:10 PM) FUUUUUUUUUU!! This will generate more muppets! after so many years of nurturing, i'm sure SAF will be hurt, not to mention the supporters as wellBeen hearing the rumors quite a lot lately .. huhu. Watching the video on SAF admitting Wayne wanted out, making me sad. I pity the old man. Disappointment is written all over his face. Especially when the part he was taking a pause .. dayummmm!! QUOTE(sunnyK @ Oct 19 2010, 11:11 PM) nothing shock no more in today's football . players today are like mercenary with very little loyalty to the club is all about money nowadays, they were blindfolded by cash the aftershock from this , rooney will join either city or chelsea , both are our hardest competitor . although he may leave for barca or real or italy bigger club , he is best suited to play in england or there could be bigger shocks or syiok waiting , after Rooney made his statement , which we can expect soon . SAF really made a blinder and made things really difficult for rooney from now on . the old man is clearly hurt i guess loyalty is worthless right now if he want to leave, let him leave, SAF had did his part of job, the end will be Rooney decision no point keeping a player without a heart playing for the club, oh well i just hope all of this is rumour but in fact is not 150k per week is top earner among all Man Utd player, did he expect for 300k per week? geezzzzz |

Imma sell my rooney in FIFA11 Time for Macheda and Hernandez to shine! now Rooney acting like what Tevez did which we all didn't expect it at all |

QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Oct 19 2010, 11:36 PM) But it is very strange... Sir alex openly admitting this while the footnall season still is still going on.... for what i guess, there must 2 person influence him the mostI sense that Sir Alex wants Rooney to stay, more than Rooney wanting to leave. I dunno, why the hell is Wayne doing this. Must be a reason.. he must be upset for something... But again, it is sad seeing how gutted Sir Alex was.. 1)His wife - Coleen (no comment about this, nobody know what did she said after that scandal) look at what Beckham became after his wife influential, SAF got mad of his personal life because there is too much of outside job and affect his performance in pitch 2)His agent - all about money |
