owen back on the pitch...knock on wood he has good training period, eased back in to the game and then ready for a very welcomed return to silent most of his critics every where biggrin.gif

btw all focus on owen, lest we forget about carrick.he is back too.just in time for the nitty gritty stages of the season. 3 games in spaces of most 7 days.

I start follow EPL match the time Keane leave to Celtic. I still remember Keane kutuk all United player that time. RVN lazy, CR only know run and run, Fletcher chase ball like maniac but not helpful  sweat.gif  Only remember that
*
well he was the skipper and was very vocal about it.the embodiment of fergie's phase "no one is bigger then the club".that what makes him special at united.the guy would give every thing for the club.

inter vs milan this weekend.... brows.gif

QUOTE(Wan @ Sep 25 2010, 01:29 AM)
Don't forget Ando as well. Suddenly our options there looking great. With Valencia out, we might see Hargreaves play in his position where he was great.

Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Hargreaves, Gibson.

You miss one hell of a player. Fletcher + Carrick(minus the long pass, he was more economical with his passing) + Mascherano + a lot more. One minute he was near or even inside the penalty area to score a goal, and once the opposition counter attack, he'll be the one making the tackles on the other side of the pitch, and then straight away join the next attack. That's the kind of player he was. Box to box. Keane-Butt/Scholes. I didn't see many live games back in the day, but from the few live games they showed, I still remember how we look really poor whenever he misses a game. Butt-Scholes don't look as effective against most sides. Always lacking something.
*
agreed.even tho we loose valencia, we gain some.here's to owen filling in for valencia and at the same to speedy and full recovery to valencia.

since bolton's up next, and berba is on form how about the goal that he scored that got us the win in the same fixture 2 seasons ago biggrin.gif

if we reach the final of the carling cup, i have hunch we could meet newcastle there that is we dont meet them earlier.

good things all round.now its up to us to grab them.

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Sep 25 2010, 09:55 PM)
City's midfield have been immense. They did a good job closing down space against Chelsea's midfield. Especially around their penalty box.

Now's the chance for Man Utd to catch up, but it's Bolton, so don't get too excited just yet. It's not a done deal. sweat.gif

Here's to hoping. wink.gif

Wan iz haz succez jinx Chelski. Citeh played like sh*t last nite, thanks for Wan that they win. Not even a glance of ambition in Mancini lineup, 3 defensive midfielder in HOME game, this worst than Jose reign with Maka-alele as anchor man in Chelski time. It even worst than Leeds when we played that at FA cup last season!!

I'm expecting Kevin Davies to bully Evans tonight unless Rio start, Bolton will continue with their long ball tactics and if they ambitious enough, they will start with Elmander and Davies upfront. The team need to win, they have to.
*
chill mate, we dont want it to come back around and bite us now. nod.gif

for now kena keep low dulu.bolton will be their physical best as usual, and its up to the lads to break them up and sniff out any mistakes and at the same time reduce ours.best situation is the lads dont pay any heed to the results elsewhere and concentrate on our game.

I kesian Fletcher.
Someone is jinxing him.

*
lol the jinxing factor.we "believe" too much on them laugh.gif

we draw its evans/o'sheas fault it seems...now that i find it very funny laugh.gif

why not other names instead??anyway the one week we can safely say a pt gained instead of 2 dropped.it was a lacklustre display for most of the match from our lads and quite surprisingly nothing changed.tho owen came in and saving us is what we need when were not coming from behind but when were level.

well if you watched united long enough, this mini derby is always a tough one, and it just proved that way.well with what happened yeseterday it kinda softened the blow.positive things we should take in to consideration, we can still make a come back, the defense was conctrated for the full 90 and most of all any team can drop pts just as saturday proved.so apa mau takut sgt, if iot was the match day 30++ then boleh la kata risau..but baru 6 game.

thats another positive to look forward to.they will be coming in to matche very soon and were not that far away behind the leaders.alot of twist and truns are in bound for all the teams ad i think us united faithfuls should know better our club rarely gets an easy run.

thats the united i support and wont change it any way around.

valenci midweek, and mainly away.we loose giggs for a couple of weeks.rooney was subbed due to injury.rio will be playing it seems, but defence we have the personnel with wes, the twins, smalling and some of the reserves lads ready to step up.

tho our midfield is cropping up a bit.scholes cant possibly play a starting role in spain, else we would be without him for another away game at Sunderland in the weekend.

Mixed news on the injury front

Wayne Rooney was forced off during the 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers on Sunday nursing an ankle injury, but Sir Alex Ferguson expects the Reds striker to be fit for the Champions League trip to Valencia on Wednesday.

However, the news on Ryan Giggs, who was also an enforced substitution at the Reebok Stadium, is not as positive. The Welshman suffered a hamstring strain and will be sidelined for a fortnight at least.

“Ryan is the more serious injury,” Sir Alex said. “It’s a hamstring injury and he’ll be out for a couple of weeks. With Wayne, I am sure we will be able to get him ready for Wednesday.”

The Reds have won away from home only once so far this season – the 5-2 victory against Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup. But after a 0-0 draw with Rangers in the opening Champions League Group C fixture, the Reds’ trip to Spain this week is vitally important – especially as Valencia opened their European account with a thumping 4-0 win over Turkish side Bursaspor.

Rooney’s fitness, regardless of the scrutiny on his on-field form and off-field personal life, is a major boost for the Reds. Rio Ferdinand wasn’t included in the 18-man squad against Bolton, although he did travel to the Reebok Stadium, and he is expected to be involved against Valencia on Wednesday.

Mixed news on the injury front

yes our away form is nothing to be proud of, but fulham, bolton, everton this early on our travels is a hard one.but i see we having a better chance in the title run in with all those 3 teams coming to ot.

its like a midlife crisi we have here with our away form.the team looks alienated from itself, passes going wrong, and alot of communication breakdown.we looked jagged and like a newly formed team when were away.fergie will address that in due time and im confident our some what mini resurgence is at sunderland and the nearest one will be valencia.

sunderland is another tough nut to crack, just look at what they did to arsenal and liverpool home  sweat.gif
*
yeah, thats why it will be a perfect place to set things straight.the saying "were slow starters" comes to mind and although it might be seen as cliché i think thats just what we are.no one can possibly be happy with the 3 draws we have but looking on good side we still havent lost any games, were still 3 pts away from the leader and its still early on.

I have one question. Our away games have been horrible tough games so far. How does this season compare with similar fixtures from last season?
*
we lost at everton, fulham and won at bolton wch if many remember were going trough a management change at that time we had that own goal, berba with 2 and gibbo scoring.

so its an improvement by not a big margin.as for where is wes, he is fit after 90min in carling cup.he might get some playing time at valencia.

a bit more info on the same fixtures, last season we traveled to fulham in middle of december(19 dec), to everton in feb(feb 20) and to bolton in march.

so that gives a light on how quick were facing those teams this season.

Fulham also unbeaten.
*
some how i think they will be ending the league with draws.by far a very improved mid table teams this season.

QUOTE(whoopa @ Sep 27 2010, 02:54 PM)
i rather lose 1 game than draw 2. whats the point of unbeaten. ZZZZZ.

lose 1 game = -3 points
draw 2 games = losing 4 points.
*
this might sound good now but later it will be useless.loosing is never better then a draw.loose once =3 what about loose 2??it already makes up for the points dropped in 3 drawn games.were still in better shape, just a nip and tuck in some positions and were off to a better results in our away games

QUOTE(zx12 @ Sep 28 2010, 04:37 AM)
u know, the ankle injury thing could just be a cover story so that people won't lose confidence in him. saf like to play mind games after all.
*
probabaly, but the ice pack and some thing blondish/reddish in the tv footages when he was on the bench looked real enough.

trying times ahead, rooney, giggs, scholes out for weeks.this will be the surreal test for berba, since he will be the one we depend on.

ando and if carrick is fit will be on the spot light.same goes to owen.

this will be the only time an international break coming into play at a right time.so 2 weeks no football, 2 weeks time cut short for rooney and co to get them self healed up.

rio and wes, both need to prove their fitness.fergie wants to extend their use in the league thus they havent seen any "real" action so far.

it would really be disappointing and hard for us if both of them had a repeat of stop and go playing time.its due time they clear their injuries for a lengthy period of time.

huish jgn mcm tu la...were not that bad... biggrin.gif

anyone else thinks this injury lay-off is good for rooney??i mean at least he will have time to contemplate things, the press will be off a tiny bit from his life, reorganize himself and come back positively smile.gif

hard fought match, and a very important win.we got a few players back in that match and at times looked a bit scrappy but the game really opened up in the 2nd half.besides a tough valencia side, the spanish heat was apparent and took its toll on the lads.

QUOTE(sHsIkuA @ Sep 30 2010, 04:46 AM)

come on mate, thats not bad at all.we came on with an objective and did just that.valencia arent push overs.

a wonderful goal but all at the same time a very good link between nani, kiko and chicharito.all 3 of them made it possible.
