Nope, Van Der Sar to play as a first teamer until he grows his 9999th white hair.

It could be either 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 of course. Reason? 4-5-1 because of the famous formation SAF always applied in UCL game specially away from home. 4-4-2 because of the lack of experienced midfielder due to the injury and such.

If we were to play with 4-4-2, Owen is definitely the one that should be paired with Berbatov. No point to slot in an inexperienced striker, as i understand clearly, yes, they're strong physically, good stamina and such but with an away UCL game, young players don't really have the mentality a strong mentality if anything goes wrong or easily over-convinced by the uncertain result (in case if we nearly win the game before the game ends)

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Sep 29 2010, 11:49 PM) Not to mention we can't really go gung-ho against Valencia after we dropped 2pts against Rangers. Valencia is already leading us by 2pts so we can't afford to be trailling further and make the job even harder for the remaining 4 group matches. True that. Reason why SAF always applied 4-5-1 formation. But with the absence of Scholes and Giggs, who do you think would be the first 5 (midfielders)?Judging by their overall form AND our own away form + defense, a draw might not be such a bad result? |

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Sep 29 2010, 11:54 PM) It will depends how fit Carrick is. If he is fit to start then my guess will be: Nani - Gibson - Carrick - Ando - Park. But Gibson, Carrick & Anderson can't really convince me though. Not that i doubt their ability, but look at here. Carrick : not sure if he's 100% fit, Gibson : not sure whether he's ready for a 'sudden' big game. Anderson: he always needs to play alongside seniors like Giggs, Scholes & Carrick IMO. But they're not in the game, how? Based on your preference, i would say Fletcher to replace either Gibson or Anderson if Carrick is fit. This post has been edited by maxizanc: Sep 30 2010, 12:00 AM |

QUOTE(Apis_LuaLua @ Sep 30 2010, 12:12 AM) I somehow prefer Gibson over Fletch at this rate.. this guy so full of confidence and done several promising shots. Tapi Fletcher lagi rajin bro. We need his work rate kat tengah padang tu. Lain la kalau still ada orang salahkan die lagi kan. Wall against Pool and deflected Bolton goal Gath? |

Unfortunately, in the first half, the only player who managed to amaze me was Anderson.

Both Hernandez and Macheda work best if you play them in the last minute. I believe last night's tactic was awesom from SAF. We shifted from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 formation, and taking out Anderson seemed to be a bad move. But look at how Valencia was playing, it was a Gung Ho all of the time, i mean look also at their manager, focking scary, they were fast but in the end they were slow. We took out Anderson, left a pair of defensive central midfielders (Carrick and Fletcher) and taking in both young players. Yeah, like i said young players are energetick especially in 10 minutes, they tend to create miracles. There, your miracle, an assist and a goal from our ypungster. Well done.

QUOTE(tatabun @ Sep 30 2010, 01:24 PM) eh, you the guy said man utd is gonna lose rite? Agree with this. Always confident and stand for your club. Yeah you still support United and be a fan of United if United lost the game but by predicting United will lose means you're not stand for your beloved club.never underestimate our lads duuuuuddeeeeeee for now, that looks like a competent four, but we still have oshea, brown and evans whom are all great if their form is good QUOTE(jojoshua @ Sep 30 2010, 01:50 PM) Who in the whole world wide didn't play like shit when they are not fully 100% fit? Beside he was the only experienced midfielder beside Fletcher that we all had left. This post has been edited by maxizanc: Sep 30 2010, 02:26 PM |
