I do agree on Bale. He looks promising. But it would be hard for us to 'steal' players anymore from Spurs. Imagine if he comes with the price tag of 25m. He could our be Berbatov v2.0! Or Carrick v1.9ex!  The match that SAF went for, must be for De Gea. But .. syhhhhh. We don't want for his price to be jack up like VDV was.

YES PEOPLE. Even if we did have some interest on VDV, Madrid would sell him to us with crazy price. I read that, initially Munchen has agreed to a deal for him around 16m or so. And at the end of the transfer window, the deal went off. Spurs barged in. Both VDV and Madrid got their wish. Anyway, I don't think he would suitable here too. Wan and irenic had mention that our attacking play relies on our wingers.

Edwin van der Sar will retire at the end of this season, according to Manchester United's goalkeeping coach Eric Steele.

Van der Sar turns 40 later this month and, according to Steele, has indicated that he will quit playing at the end of the current campaign.

And Steele revealed how the United keeper has set his sights on winning the FA Cup before he finally calls time on his illustrious career.

"I think Ed has made his mind up and said this is his last year," said Steele.

 
"He's a good pro and a sensible and highly intelligent guy who will know when the time is right.

"I don't think he'll need myself or the manager to tell him that time has come. He will know."

Having won the Champions League, three Premier League titles, the Carling Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup since joining United in 2005, the only domestic medal van der Sar is missing is the FA Cup.

And Steele revealed a Wembley triumph on May 14 would be the dream way for van der Sar to bring the curtain down on his career.

"Ed hasn't won it and that's a big target for him," said Steele. "He's won most things in the game, there's not much left he hasn't.

"When we rotate our goalkeepers I think you will see Mr Van der Sar knocking on the door and asking the boss to play in the FA Cup."

I'm guessing the tabloid is making the "Rooney not signing extension" thing big.. Might not be as serious as it is.. but I do wonder what Rooney is actually planning.

SAF will probably sell Rooney this January if there's taker and if it's true Rooney refused to sign a contract extension with improve pay.

if his form continue to slumps and by next summer , he will worth much less.
all said , hope Rooney forms will improve and he stay at old trafford but right now its a real testing time for him , the club and the fans.

if not for the Liverpool drama the past weeks , the spotlight will be on him and SAF

hope ferguson will bring in more top notch midfielders in jan transfer window.. scholes has been superb since start of season, but don think his body could keep up with barclay's hectic schedule. Its good for ferguson policy to always nurture young talents.. but this season we need some real dominance force in midfield. we have been drawing all the games away from home with mid ranking teams.
