Depends on your research field, supervisor, facilities etc.

+1, different Universities are strong in different aspect of research....
Try not to choose the Universities based on rankings alone.
It would be good if you can find out the lecturers there and have a look at their publishing records, then ask for opinions of the people working there, only then decide laugh.gif

USM is the best because it have apex status. Even UM lose to USM when fighting for that status

Dunno. For 1st degrees & masters UM is probably better than anywhere else in Malaysia -mostly because of the emphasis on good theoretical foundations in research and studies. But UM also prefer to send their PhD candidates overseas (maybe because it took too long for the students to finish their theses locally?)

Masters and phd locally sucks because waste the student time. Research too slow.

still 2 yrs is quite impossible for phd. Molecular biology sounds easy but in a phd project its not as easy as u think, not? Its not just pcr and get result then publish paper. Im sure there's alot of experiments u have to do to achieve you objective

Yeah, I'm aware of the additional experiments that I'll need to do, but I'm still optimistic haha laugh.gif
To me, molecular biology is quite simple... I'm more afraid of the non-molecular-biology aspects haha
Fifi85 you are also doing your phD on Biology-based field? Just curious hehe
