My goodness, the last time i remember talking about Voyager1 or 2 was in school. I found it fascinating to think that a spacecraft was flying though space sending information back to earth (of course in the head of a young girl that 'information' was obviously pictures as if they were taken out of a low flying airplane window showing trees and such on distant planets) and would keep going for (what seemed like) forever.

Makes me quite sad to think of it slowly shutting down bit by bit. I think i get a little too emotionally attached to technology (and subsequently tend to anthropomorphize excessively).

Interesting thought though, did a quick search and didn't find a real answer from what i could tell: Is Voyager1 still communicating with earth and if so how?
I would assume radio waves, but wouldn't there be a huge (like years and years long) lag with it being so far away?
