“I have no time for gossip. My work, and focus, is to complete and deliver the project,” Datuk Danny Cheah replies when asked about market talk of delays and other issues at the company’s Empire City @ Damansara KL development.

“From our point of view, we want to do a good job in delivering to our purchasers, investors and bankers. So, we can’t be bothered with the rumours and market talk,” says Cheah, group executive director of Mammoth Empire Holdings Sdn Bhd.

“We are not some kind of set-up that makes a quick buck and flies off after. We have been around for 16 years … so we are here to stay,” he tells The Edge in a sit-down interview.

SPA signed on 2015 july, with condition of 6 months to obtain CCC, if cannot  produce CCC then she got right to cancel. Actually she can give extension, but after seeing so many negativity, she cancelled. I think she will lost 20k lawyer fee total.

It seems rental at a popular mall 3km away has reduced. Wonder how much impact will have on ec mall rental.

I am not sure of the logic behind paying for maintenance for a place you cannot 1) stay or safe to stay, let alone renovate  2) cannot rent out either  3) all common areas not even done up properly. Why not you start to service or pay for service/maintenance money for a car you collected but can never drive. coz well they are still assembling it at the factory? ED AGM :  developer and its proxies outnumbered owners 2 to 1. just by vote count, the owners are outnumbered. can recognise MEH staff attending as developer proxy. all the JMB members voted in are pro developer.
the voting has weighting or share unit basis based on size of parcel. e.g. the carpark is under Empire, and based on carpark size, Empire's one vote under Carpark share unit is equal to 44,650 votes! one studio carries share unit of 34, SOHO1 is 72 while SOHO2 is 66. Hotel is 640!

So with 1 vote representing Empire through its carpark, it's enough to neutralise all the votes from owners. what a farce.
Empire City has a huge mall and with that mall, Empire will be able to neutralise all owners representation on the JMB unless ALL owners attend and vote! which will never happen

they purposely asked police to standby and security standing in front only letting owners in. The security even blocked late comers to enter the agm to vote. (Shake head)
