Usually the average hour for human to sleep is 8 hours.
But is it possible to train to just sleep 3 - 4 hours a day without causing side-effect???

during my previous reverse military training, we were forced to sleep for 3-4 hours a day yet we feel as alert as ever... due to constant pushing from instructors

Added on September 18, 2010, 2:33 pmas for my case, I think the main reason that I stay awake is because my body acknowledgethe danger if I were to feel sleepy or yawn and pump extra "uummpph"

P/S just my hunch since I`m not from bio or medic background tongue.gif

I think it is more like they dont give you a chance to sleep not the danger. Any danger is just self imposeed. How long was your trainning? 2 weeks? ( I am navy reserve too). Forcing you to live a 30 hour day when there is only 24 hours, you will have to find back the lost hours.

one months... askar wataniah regimen 515(ampang camp)

what we did was supernap.. nap ranging from minutes to 5-10 minutes and it make us feel refreshed

Taking naps during class is the most common way to get back this lost sleep.

Hi All,

Watched this movie.. Nightmare on ElmsStreet...

there`s this part where they mentioned "micronap"
a state whereby human has stay awake excessively and the body will shut down temporarily while your eye are open and you are awake....

Meaning to say.. you are sleeping and you dont even know about it...

I tried to google but no match... anyone heard of this?

is it from valid medical terms? or just fictional medical terms?
