QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 18 2011, 06:30 PM) Did a hard reset on my Tab just now just for the purpose to see how fast it reboot - not long ; took about 8 minutes to fully boot back I just used odin and followed the instruction in the rotorom (did i spell his name right?lol) and everything went ok accept my product code is KOR now. But i don't mind since i only lose out on downloading certain apps in the samsung store. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S - hard reset will not erase/delete any contents of the internal SD card . This is very good feature , meaning all your supporting data/files/backups which are installed in the internal card remains intact. Will later try to install a clockwork recovery or a modified kernel with CR so that I can do a nandroid backup. This will be very useful if you want to flash roms and if you don't like the new rom, you can restore everything ( all apps/data etc) exactly back to your last status Anyone here had done any Clockwork recovery Mod - will appreciate some tips. Spend an hour reading through forum XDA on all the possible ways and user's failures/recommendations ; hope I can do a successful one try Next step will be to flash a new firmware than only flash a new 3rd party rom I saw nprrussel in the Tab forum if he produce a villain rom would be great. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 18 2011, 08:18 PM) After you flash rotohammer rom, did you install a ClockworkMod Recovery ? If not, you can try Chainfire CF-Root which is compatible with rotohammer rom Yeah i did, i installed Chainfire one since i didn't understand what is happening in the Koush thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885734 It's like the beginning of Galaxy S all over again, the forums are not as organized and very little dev. Lucky the tab is only used as a tab. |

Becareful updateing to JME. THe official one comes with a bootstrap and won't allow you to update to a rom without the bootstrap.
