everything goes to Maxis first.. and yet another contract tied hardware..

i'd never plan to buy any tablet like this or iPad.. coz unsure of what to do with it..

but seems like Samsung manages to make my gf fall in love with it..

so buntutwoman, mind to tell me about the build quality, issit really nice or the material almost the same as Galaxy S?

My gf is interested in the galaxy tab too.
she said it's kinda cool to talk on the 7" phone (with the posture of talking on a BIG phone.....) ......... sweat.gif

I tried it on the Singtel Accelerate Conference 2010 yesterday, it's very comfortable to browse webpages, very easy to type on the virtual keyboard.
played some games on it, it won't display on the full 7" screen. It'll scale down to about 30-40% of the screen.

I might will get it, if it's really RM2699. Thinking of selling of my contract free SGS, and get Galaxy Tab with contract.

very solid glass on the front. But........all the demo units are full with finger prints and greases........the showgirl keep wiping the screen.......

The back is very solid when compared to SGS's plastic-ish fragile back casing.
Glossy solid pearl white back cover.

I consider this a huge build quality improvement over SGS.

Oh ya, the battery is NOT replaceable 4000mAh.

battery life isn't confirmed yet. The Samsung representative said it's undergoing lab test, and he said can play HD movie for about 7-8hours.

quality is ok la.
product launch around end october.

battery life after playing with it for 7 weeks still the same. 1 day normal usage.
heavy usage of watching movies, playing with gps, gaming with the gsensors is less than half a day.

i got around 6 units with me now. stacking up collecting dust. 1 unit i took and use it to put on my desk as digital photoframe. wanted to put 1 as digital clock but waste my electricity only.

now currently attached to windows phone 7. i cannot reveal much but i can tell you, windows phone 7 is alot smoother than anything i've ever held before. totally no lag.

windows phone 7 can consider same as iphone in term of UI,smoothness and also animation...
i played it on last 2 weeks (Asus and LG phones(QWERTY))
all the functions/features look kinda basic for me and very friendly...i just like the animation
the OS just RTM-ed last 2 weeks and will be ship very very soon(next month)
it's a good start but also a late start for microsoft...

even WP7 Engineer using iphone as main phone and there were many WP7 phones with him(around 6-8)

I think the price will be more expensive than galaxy s. I guess and hope it's priced at RM1799 with contract, while the SGS is RM1699 with contract.

And maybe will never recover their market performance over Android and iOS plus RIM too..
It's like they just realized from the fantasy world and still learning to make a first step on the real world..
I hope this time they put their wholehearted to WinPhone 7 and make it accessible to all manufacturers.. hmm.gif hmm.gif
