It doesnt have ear piece, you only can use it as phone with headset or bluetooth.

Use earpiece. Or the best solution is with bluetooth headset

Finally got my sgt from maxis ttdi, still few more units available.
Cheap promo price for rm1699 till 8 january, but take note is only for 24 mths contract.

The sgt is quite an awesome device. The reported lagginess on browser isn't that bad imo. The 7" do have the good form factor. But i m ipad user so need to get use to the smaller screen especially on email and web browsing.. So i think i undersatnd some ipad users dislike of this 7" sgt. But if u really compare both, they have own advantages and drawbacks too. I can see myself using sgt more when out.. Just brief impression of few hours using.. Loving it...

You need bluetooth headset and car holder bcos it is way too big for 1 hand use when driving.
Anyway the build in mic/loudspeaker is very good, most of the time i can talk sit back while the SGT on the holder during conversation.
You have to carry a waist bag or slingbag when going out.

Btw, a question to SGT users.

If I have a few active applications running, is there a quicker way to go back to a particular app? The 'active app taskbar' doesn't take me there ... it only can force/end the app.

What I'm doing is go thru the apps menu to go back to the app.

Long press the home button, it will show the last few application used. Click on the icon will open it.

Just tried out the earphones on the SGT, excellent sound quality... always loved samsung's sound, similar to my Samsung mobilephone last time. Also take note, it takes a bit of a push to insert the plug into the port, must get a snap to know it's locked in

from what i see, sgt more faster than sgs.. bcoz previous im sgs user.. but i dunno why sgt notification bar lagging

Anyone knows how to :-

1) arrange the apps in the application screens eg move app from 3rd screen to 1st screen?
2) toggle between windows when surfing?
3) solve problem when browser automatically closes (go back to home screen) while surfing or when typing messages midway ? Have to start all over again.
4) How to reboot without pressing power button?

to see what is ur firmware ... *#1234#
