Just got my S2.1D due to all the fanboys here  notworthy.gif

Initially wanted to buy from IT Mart @ LYP but they got no stock. Went to Edifier showroom and listened how the M3300 sucked majorly in terms of base. Edifier themselves had no stock on hand either.

Then looked at other brands but didn't fit my hearing taste or budget  tongue.gif

Finally found my babies from CZone.

I'm very happy with the speakers. Though I think it needs some 'burn in' time to improve the clarity. Very theatre like sounds which sometimes makes my games too loud (have to reduce volume).

Anyone here with success on connecting and using the S/PDIF? I have nForce4 mobo which has S/PDIF out and I connected that to the speakers and tried playing some DVDs but no avail. Any tips? Is S/PDIF only limited to movies?

I've got the S2.1D a couple of weeks back too.. actually.. will be 2 weeks tomorrow. So far no complains as my ACS 45.1 was flabbering while playing dungeon siege II. Time to retire by 7 year old ACS 45.1.

Only issue I have with the S2.1D is the 'Orange Juice Squeezer' remote control. Everything is so perfect in the box until I pulled out the remote and go.. 'what the... ' laugh.gif

One thing.. has anyone tried to wall mount the sats? The mounting holes at the rear does not seem strong enough to hold the weight, esp if you plan to blast the sats. Instead of ripping the hinges off the wall, I'm afraid that the hinge might rip the wood off the sat housing.

omg. how come u didn't know about the remote? laugh.gif
it's okla. just try to keep it out-of-view when not in use. tongue.gif

about mounting the sats to the wall, they should keep their hold. because our Edifier speaker stands use that hole as a mount but it's supported by a small metal base(from the speaker stand) right under the sat.

I know about the remote from all the reviews. What I didn't know is how it felt in comparison to the rest of the system. The only problem I have is the lack of volume precision while using the orange juice squeezer. It takes a few turns to move the volume up one bar. I know it just a scale thing but wish it was more precise.
