Acrylic looks better but scratch easily. 3G doesn't scratch as easily as Acrylic

Drian is right, glass will be more scratchess compared to acrylic. Even with normal wiping, you can see something like spider web lines on your acrylic. For me, I choose glass and currently using it in my house cabinet. Acrylic is only best suited for dry kitchen where minimal wiping is required.

Actually why is everyone so scared of scratching the kitchen cabinet doors? Unless you like to throw things around, i think both are ok. Ditto to those who don't want to opt for stainless steel kitchen table top too.
Not as thought you're gonna slide you pot here and there like 24/7. |

QUOTE(joul @ Sep 17 2010, 03:10 AM) I'm trying to decide on acrylic or 3G glass for my kitchen cabinet doors. Which one is better? Any advice? Thanks! arcylic will be more visible for the scractes and glass is more scracth proff as some forumers said. pricing wise is depend on the showroom you visit. for example if the showroom you visit is more on arcylic will sure he/she will said arcylic is better and bla bla bla just to hard sell it's own products so as the glass 3G. at the end you have to trust your own eye sight and just have to think about it wether u want more careful maintenaice or less. but bare in mind the glass one normally was not in tempered glass coz the price will sky high one. both have its pros and cons. |
