u can mod DIY one.. use a rubber band and lego brick for holding the shutter in place.. utilizing the 2 second timer..

p/s: i just realized my hiccup, how are you going to un-trigger the shutter without making the camera shake? @_@ dang.. back to the drawing board again

signither: You might want one of those new-color NEX-5 bodies LOL.

Also, the video lights are going to be a lot bigger and massively imbalance the camera. Actually there are side-mounted video lights which fit on a flash bracket. That might be a practical idea!
maybe, or maybe wait for a FF NEX laugh.gif

i'm leaning to the idea of getting a side-mounted video lights at the moment. maybe gonna get one from eBay or something. nod.gif

QUOTE(lwliam @ Sep 22 2010, 06:42 PM)
cokin, unless you got a 49mm convertor, coz its NEX we're talking about here.. but you'll still be touching the camera before the card entirely closes the scene. just slapping on a black card at the front element of the lens will do...
*
nice idea. slapping would do just fine. i got a Cokin P Holder with 49mm ring for my NEX dy, maybe try both later. rolleyes.gif

signither: Now that I think of it, I can't wait to shoot stereoscopic 2-camera single-shot action by making a DIY double-camera trigger (cabled). Like 3D but with action!

Side-mounted video lights will be fun! Though I think you can get them from Digicolor.

Was it you who posted this?

http://www.dhgate.com/video-light-led-for-...116e9a7d66.html

Imagine stacking 3 on the left, and 3 on the right... put flash gel on one side, so you get a two-tone effect.

Your picture - What does it mean?

wow, wiggle strereoscopy! i like that idea too. but watching too long would give me headache. lol.

DGColor got the video lights ya? gonna check with them later.

i didn't post that link, don't remember who did though.

haha, my pic is nowhere near a double rainbow tongue.gif

what effect does the pinhole lens give exactly?
*
i'm not sure myself tongue.gif
that's why i wanna try laugh.gif

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 14 2010, 01:11 AM)
signither, what is the focal length of the pinhole, approximately? I would guess somewhere in the 20-30mm range as that would be how far the cap protrudes from the body.

That said, it is a rather artsy pinhole picture. Well done!
*
i'm not sure about the technical stuff too. was planning to ask u about it. laugh.gif
well, the original idea behind my DIY is for artsy shot actually, because i dunno what's the focal length is sweat.gif

QUOTE(Deerc @ Oct 14 2010, 01:12 AM)
got a little lomo-effect  thumbup.gif . U use the body cap cover to make the hole? how big?
*
a hole made by a pin tongue.gif
i drilled a hole on the cap, then put that carbon fiber sticker on top of it. later, take a pin and make a hole on the middle of the sticker nod.gif

QUOTE(lwliam @ Oct 14 2010, 01:30 AM)
sig, the focal length of a pinhole camera is calculated from the sensor plane to the centre of the pinhole. which is essentially where the light from the focus plane is being 'converged' on/in the lens. *imagine a light path drawn on paper passing through a lens, the crossing point of the lines is where is used for the calculation*
*
thanks for sharing bro notworthy.gif
