cjlai: great macro pictures...makes me wanna get either a macro lens or a macro converter...

guys/gals, just asking, if wanna do wireless but dun wan the built-in flash to pop up, what should i do or use? i want to take some photos of flowers with flash shooting from the side, but the built-in flash pops up and flash on the flower la...making it to bright from front n side...

If you can find a piece of exposed film negative, you can wrap that around the pop up flash. It will cut the light but let the IR signal through.

blowsh : It's not like you're gonna wrap it around the flash airtight. I just use a piece of those twister cable to keep it in place. I'm assuming you're not gonna keep firing the flash none stop right? Your F42 will still need some time to recycle after firing so I don't think heat will build up.
