zstan, I do agree that the IQ is superb..but i beg to differ on the AF speed.compared to 75-300 then AF speed is way faster..
But yeah..very noisy..

zstan - don't be so harsh with that guy la.he's just like me when i was looking for 55200 or 75300..

Newbieeeeee - if you have the budget,for all means go for f58 (gosh i wish i had the money).warranty wise i don't think you have to be so concerned.i bought my 55200mm lens with no warranty and it has served me well without giving me any problems at all.but if your budget is kinda tight then go for the f42.yes,the performance and the angle where you can utilise the lens might differ but cut around the corner and try using your creativity to cover for the loss.hope this 2 cents of mine can be of some help to you.and by the way,compared to you,i have less gears.i don't even have a flash gun.but i am still living with it.. (although already planning to look for 1)

1. IINM your metz36AF-4 can only tilt from 0-90 degrees and cant swivel from left to right..
2. I am funding for f42 unless i can find a really really good deal for f58 or if i suddenly win lottery (but too bad i dont buy..)

eddybeh - i think no.1 would look nicer if you angle your shot to show more of her face..
for no.4 ,if she exposes her face fully and looks out of the bars instead of staring at the bars like in your photo it'll give more feeling IMO.
personally like your no.3 and no.6..just my noobie 2 cents..

nope..f42 is just like your metz plus it can swivel left and right..
unlike f58 which can tilt till the back and is capable of twisting in a semi circle to the left and right.what do you call that movement anyway?

yup..for now.according to iamKiet there should be 1 soon enough.rumored to replace the f42..

as for the SAM n SAL there you have the answer from bro hazril.but IINM its the presence of AF motors in SAm and not in SAL..
