QUOTE(koro @ Feb 7 2011, 02:16 AM) my question still not been answer..rate this phone plz....1 to 10...really want to buy this phone soon.. 8/10. No AF on the camera. Not a big deal unless you take a lot of macro and bokehlicious shot. Otherwise good camera. Exposure always spot on. High ISO surprisingly well when resized. Clearblack display + AMOLED = goodness. I got this phone because it's small. Probably most other people too. Oh wait you already got it lol. Oh well enjoy. Update to the latest firmware and software if you can. How do you like the weight? This post has been edited by Joseph Hahn: Feb 7 2011, 09:51 PM

It's pretty heavy for a small phone. It's shorter than 5800XM. Thickness very much the same. Makes it feel solid though since it's steel and glass instead of plastic.
Just noticed one improvement with PR1.1. Pick a calendar entry and it responds immediately instead of a noticeable lag before.

QUOTE(Squidoo @ Feb 8 2011, 07:10 PM) Added on February 8, 2011, 7:35 pmUpdates regarding the firmware release date for most (if not all) Symbian ^3 OS users Source : http://www.n8fanclub.com/2011/01/nokia-n8-...-date-24th.htmlPR2.0 coming so soon? I wonder what else will Nokia announce next week at MWC. PR3.0 looks massive. QUOTE(CLian @ Feb 9 2011, 12:09 AM) A question: any of you knows how to install garmin into this hp? is it possible as the 5800 does? Maybe you should've gotten an N8. Garmin Mobile XT can be installed. I asked the shop to install it when i bought it though.

Yeah bubbles is great. Garmin is hard to install. I remember it was a nightmare to install on my 5800 a few years ago.

Hehe some people cannot stick too long with one phone. I tend to stick for at least a year though. Use at least until a new model comes out. But Symbian future seems bleak with Windows Phone 7 Nokia phones coming to replace them in a few years time.

The CEO said he wants it this year. But he also said that Symbian will still be supported in the mean time to help the transition to WP7. This probably hints at PR3.0.

QUOTE(sklchan @ Feb 25 2011, 09:40 PM) c6-01 owners... please visit to N8 thread for the latest S^3 mods... Ah... i install your mods before it was compatible with C6-01. No wonder the camera didn't work back then.

Yep the flash is indeed very bright. Really useful as a torch.

Huhu some "clever" people are like that one. Buy high end phones but setup email have to ask their technician.

Yeah it's not bad at all. Exposure is spot on. It does oversharpen a bit. That's why i set the sharpening to the lowest setting in my preset. Want bokeh? Photoshop. Want macro? Use magnifying glass!

Aiseh people use DSLR also use Photoshop. And people with N8 use magnifying glass to achieve crazier magnification.
