I have been using the ovi gps of this c6-01 for months, n the signal strength has been very weak, it takes long time to locate position. Any comment, guys?
*
You have to turn on AGPS. It will cost you a little on data but lock time will be reduced to within 30 seconds.
Anyway, the weak signal might be caused by your vehicles windscreen been applied with sun shield stickers like V-Cool and so forth smile.gif

I don't suppose it's device problem.

okay then. Thanks! smile.gif

When I uses offline gps, it totally cannot locate position. Only if I connect thru the internet with network based, it can locate me quite fast. It got faster especially after I update it with the ovi suite.
*
It will lock but after a lengthy duration of 15 minutes or more smile.gif

Anyone has external battery for your phone? May I know what brand is the best which costs the least?
*
I have Opt Porta Power which is on sale in Apple Switch for around 180 but I bought from 1 forumer at only RM100.
You may try Sanyo Eneloop Mobile Booster. smile.gif

Is this the general market price for such booster? what kind of features to consider it as a good one?
*
High capacity to charge more rounds.
Relatively high voltage output to reduce charging time. smile.gif

if I were to expect charging at least twice, what exactly the capacity should I choose?
Can give me an exact figure in terms of its voltage or ampere etc?
*
At least 2700mah but there's definitely a loss of energy as heat energy, so I would say something at least 3000mah and above is better. And don't forget the batteries in the portable charger will loss its holding capacity over time. Higher better.

Output according to X6 charger AC-8X is at 890mah. Maybe you should look at something aroung that output but don't get anything too high because it might spoil the battery. You need somethin around 890mah. Low ones take too much time. High ones might spoil it. Get something close to 890mah. smile.gif

You can find NOKIA hologram in the phone and also on the battery if is original. Also will have AVAXX sticker there.... that's the original distributer of the phone.
*
Avaxx/Zitron/Arista
Any other distributors are non-ori. smile.gif

Make sure there's sticker of either of 3 official distributor. Nokia hologram sticker fake and real very hard to differentiate on the spot. ohmy.gif

QUOTE(KukuBird @ Jun 26 2011, 12:25 PM)
Dear Gurus and Senior members,
I just bought this phone 3 days ago. its awesome
I now have a problem, i can't watch youtube videos in the standard player. I must always watch it in flash mode(small screen)

whenever i change to standard player, it will load for a long time..and then displays an error "Unable to connect to server"
My brothers Nokia C6 is not having any problem.
Any solutions to this? I download youtube apps to view youtube video in a bigger screen, but still the same error occurs.

Looking forward to your solutions/comments.
Thank you so much lowyat community =)

Your Real Player Connection Settings.

Real Player >> Streaming >> Access Point In Use

Or alternatively if you're playing in Web Browser, you may click on video to enter full screen mode. smile.gif

Thank you master hengguowei and master unthuged =). Both of your solutions solved my problems.

I have another question though, how can i force the phone to always use WLAN only. Because sometimes when i am connected to a wireless network, and the network breaks off, it will automatically use my digi network. How can i prevent that?

is it at the settings of the web browser?

Thanks again =)
*
Settings >> Destinations >> Options >> Default Connection >> Always Ask

Web Browser >> Options >> Settings >> General >> Access Point >> Always Ask

Do both the above just to be sure. smile.gif

hi, i'm new here.
quite interested with c6-01 too smile.gif
i would like to know is there any way to check the phone batch? it seems the ealier batch prone to have some issues with the motherboard.
*
Should be fine hopefully but there's not many C6-01 users. Get ori and worry nothing cause Nokia Care Center is there to solve your problem. smile.gif

Try downloading the file from here and place it into your memory card and select from File Manager in device. smile.gifhttp://gallery.mobile9.com/f/1202595/

hmm..  hmm.gif i didn't face that issue tho. just get the phone as well. factory reset, on and i can go to ovi store. still figuring how to use ovi maps now. rclxub.gif
*
You have to load the map data into your device. You may do so through Ovi Suite which has a menu for Maps. Select the map you want and download and move into device. And you're good to go.

Alternatively, you can download Nokia Map Loader, a software made before Ovi Suite was available. It does the same thing. smile.gif

Opera Mobile does not support Flash content while the stock browser has flash support. smile.gif

guys, did u guys felt that the screen is kinda lacking contrast? it's hard to read the screen when browsing. wonder if it's just my set or the same with everyone. does the screen has a setting? hmm.gif
*
I don't think contrast is the right thing to blame. Probably resolution is at fault. Are you finding difficulties reading text in the browser?
Or even images are hard to see? As far as I know, I don't suppose you can adjust contrast but you can adjust brightness though. smile.gif

yes, it's hard to read in the browser as well. But the words seems blurry but it's better when the  backlight  dims. Kinda puzzling...

Did you send in to Nokia Care Center just to check with them?

nope, since it's an ap set. For now i only use opera mobile. Much better.

Ok, if no such problem occur in Opera Mobile, maybe it is a software issue. Did you update your firmware to the latest version or you may also try reinstalling the firmware. smile.gif
