Anybody here owns Pantodon buchholzi - The African Freshwater Butterfly Fish? They're like miniature mottled brown asian arowana with trailing fins...

I keep seeing this everywhere I go. At least 2-3 shops this week.

Hey man, how are the pacus doing? Yup, remember meeting you at the shop. I think you came with a friend right?

Anyway, building as in DIY or getting it built by someone?

I think fishes that can grow big would appreciate as much space as possible. Certainly it couldn't possibly hurt.

What sort of dimensions do you have in mind? Also, what sort of setup do you have planned?

Oh I'm not bothered. The RTCs had not been taking too well to live food since they were raised on pellets and since the day they arrived at the shop, I've noticed they never grew as fast as most people said they would.

I'm actually very glad they've now sort of settled into the pond and have no problem eating 4" fishes. As for kesian, well you also feed your fishes live feeders so how is this any different?

Actually they were very very small when Pang got them and I've commented many times about their slow growth and relatively modest appetites during those months they were growing out the tank at the shop.

yeah, i came with a friend.
my pacus are doing great but they seem to eat a lot..i feed them at least 4 times a day..
is it because water temp and water pump flow??
currently i'm using 2 water pump, one for external filter and another for sump tank filter..

as for my future pond, i don't have the slightest idea what sort of dimension sad.gif
pimpin, for one full grown gigas what pond size should it be?? your help is most appreciated smile.gif

hi guys, wanna ask something, how much cost for a fiberglass tank, with glass in front of it? about 5ft x 2.5ft. saw this one at a aquarium shop, but likely it about 6ft something.

Seriously, I don't know. But I'm guessing the Arapaima isn't going to be kept all by itself right? Surely there will be tank mates so short answer is as big as you can afford.

What did you have in mind? Both setup and budget wise.

Fins n' Greens ada lah these tanks, plus can choose to have add on sump filtration that sits nicely at the edge.
